All nations at one point have experienced a few different types of challenges in their history. America suffered through plenty of challenges throughout its history that have been overcome. America has been through many obstacles, but they were only realized after the problem was solved or confronted. These challenges include slavery, women’s rights, tyrants, terrorists, and innumerable more. Though confronted with challenges throughout America’s history, the main three obstacles in America today is the divisions between the public, sensitivity of some individuals, and sense of entitlement among some of the youth.
Most people don't necessarily like the thought of being different from everyone else because it could lead to bigger events that could cause more harm in the future. Mark Twain being the phenomenal writer he is wrote a book that idea of blending in and adapting to your surroundings to a whole new level with writing his book Pudd'nhead Wilson. One of the main events that happened in the book was that Roxy, a slave that works for Percy Driscoll, switches her son, Chambers or “Tom”, with the baby of her slave owner, Tom of “Chambers”. In the book both of these boys are switched to show the sole purpose of Roxy wanting her son to grow up not as a slave. Both of the boys when they grow up are totally the opposite of their actual parents.
I do not think i can get the same support from other people, except some of my friends. For me it is very hard to open up to people. It takes me a long time for people to know me well. Even though people may become my friends very quickly and easily, I would rather let them do the talking and let them tell me about them. I do not have a problem with letting people to get know about me
Although it depends on the situation, in most cases we usually do drag our issues wih us wherever we go for the most time. This is because for most people no matter if they change the setting or location it does not solve or change the troubles or issues they are having. No matter where they are or what they are doing to distract their minds it is still going to be in the back of their minds. A good example of this is found in The Kite Runner even though Amir saw Hassan get sexually assualted a long time ago and even moved to America but his past still haunted him and he could not escape it.
Parents and children basically come from different decades and as time pasts, things change and people change to adapt to the new world. Due to the decades of time gap, we certainly have different type of cultivation, education and lifestyles with the past generations. This causes the difference between our mind and the way we think. When we have different thinking, we behave differently and most of the time, our parents’ generation do not understand why we behave in certain ways. For example, old generations tend to over interfere their children’s or grandchildren’s lives and this is the part that the new generation dislike as nowadays people like to decide and do things on their own.
What was once depended on in the past is no longer needed in the present. When the Dream was first created, it fit the criteria of that time. It fulfilled a life where it, "...should be better and richer and fuller for everyone," (The American Dream). However, as time goes on,what meets those standards changes. The American Dream itself doesn't hold what many view it capable of holding.
I over thought every aspect of every detail of every piece that I had intentions of doing to a point of insanity. The stress was too much and I was driven to multiple mental and emotional break downs. There were many but I only remember two. The first was during the Thanksgiving break junior year. I had decided before the break that I would dedicate the entirety of my time off to working on the art that I was extensively behind on.
No matter where you end up on the political spectrum, I can see where people in our country would feel this way. Even though the divisions in our country seem overwhelmingly insurmountable, and sometimes even feeling like a “United” States isn’t even possible; America’s best days are still in front of us.
However, many people do not agree; often Americans and others that value free-will choices and human power to make and change their own lives and believe their futures are in their own hands. Obviously, these are two unique ways to look at life. This is not a new battle, though. People have been fighting with the idea of fate versus free will for centuries, even back to the works of Sophocles around 400 BC. More recent thinkers have contributed their thoughts, such as Pierre Laplace and his “demon” in the 18th century.
Term Limitation of Congress In America, it is a constant debate whether members of congress should be term-limited. Many people believe that the current members of congress have been in their position for too long and are subject to prejudices and old ideas. Although, the terms of house and senate should not be limited due to the fact that, the power to change a representative is in our hands as well as we, as a country, do not need a congress with little experience.
One the other hand The American Dream is not completely accurate. The American Dream is dead and good riddance is what some people say. The plaguing of the american dream, notably home ownership, educating two children, as well as owning a good car. But for some that isn’t even what the dream involves.
Myths about ICD-10 So, the ICD-10 deadline whisked past us last week, and even still there are many practices that have not been able to understand the ICD-10 concept fully. Many physicians have been hearing things about ICD-10, most of which are not actually true. As a result, the ICD-10 implementation has been perceived much more complex than it actually is.
There are several reasons for the low voter turnout at elections in the United States compared to the rest of the world, but the main reasons have to do with the culture. The current generation is growing up in a period of liberty, equality, and democracy. They are enjoying the fruits of uprisings done by their ancestors to secure civil rights and liberties such as voting rights. This makes it hard for them to appreciate and value their voting rights. For them it is part of their political system and they can do whatever they want with it.

oday is a tumultuous time to live in America. It seems as if every day there is a new natural disaster, riot, call for violence, political scandal, or cultural disgrace. Politics have become increasingly polarized and the gap is still growing. We cannot even agree on the most basic aspects of being American, like standing for our national anthem. So, you might say, what is the solution?
