Therefore Lennie is a good friend because he listens to what you have to say, he tries to do what you tell him to do, and also is really kind and loving to all. The First reason that proves Lennie is a good friend is that he will do anything to make sure you are happy. For example in the novel George goes on a rant beside the river on how if he didn’t have to deal with Lennie his life

In Of Mice and Men we see George ended Lennie life after he murdered Curley's wife. However Lennie did it on accident with no wrong intention or cold blood. So the question we must ask ourselves is, was killing Lennie really considered the right thing to do? George’s actions were not right at all;what George did makes him more unforgiving compared to what Lennie did killing Curley’s wife. Also George might have regretted what he did later in future because Lennie was George's best friend at the time and he is most likely going to mourn him.

From the day that Lennie’s Aunt Clara died and from the day George took Lennie in as a friend George was always there for him. If Lennie did not have George, Lennie would have no one to protect him and save him from all of the bad things that he has done. In Steinback’s book “Of Mice and Men”, I believe there is a special relationship between the two main characters Lennie and George. I think both Lennie and George are the caretakers of each other. My first impression of their special relationship, I feel a little bit weird, because if I was George, I don’t think I will travel together with Lennie for such a long time. But after I read the book, I realize the reason. Lennie is the caretaker of George mentally, George is the caretaker of Lennie physically.
Loyalty is one of the most important things you could ever ask for in a friendship. Without loyalty, the friendship is far from genuine. George and Lennie declare their loyalty to each other many times
