Is winter or summer better? Dazzle of winter, and beachiness (yes it’s a real word) of summer. In this essay I will talk about clothes, weather, plant life, food, dangerousness, and what is the same. I like both seasons, but I was born in June, so I’m a little biased. Winter can provide beautiful snow, and we can go skiing, build snow forts, and ice skating is always fun but… it freezing! Hypothermia! Avalanches! Winter is fun, but also dangerous. Don’t be paranoid, just be careful! Summer has sandy beaches, warm sun, ice cream, and shorts and t-shirts. These are fun, but… it can be too hot! Heatstroke! Wildfires!

So summer clothes are light and pretty, and winter clothes can be pretty, but tend to be puffy and dark. Weather, summer is blazing hot and winter is freezing cold, for this contrast, they couldn’t be more different than night and day. Plant life. Well summer plantlife is, well, ermm, there is wild flowers, but grass is starting to die if not dead by August. WInter plant life is, well, non-existent. Food. You could have summer food in winter and winter food in summer, but do you really want to be colder than you already are in winter? Or hotter than you already are in summer? I thought not. Imagine eating ice cream on a negative 15 day in December, or drinking hot soup on a 100 degree day in July, now tell me, wouldn’t that be uncomfortable? The danger of summer is very different than winter danger. WIldfires are very rare in winter, as is getting hypothermia in summer.

How are winter and summer similar? Well both winter and summer are seasons. Spring and fall only a month long and winter and summer are each about five months. Winter and summer both have a specific set of traditions and holidays, and this is a vague similarity. Other than these things I cannot really think of anything that makes winter and summer similar.

Over this essay, I have taught you about ice cream, lemonade, barbeques, winter holidays, soup, hot cocoa, and the danger of both. One thing I need to leave in your mind as you go about your merry way and learning more every day adding to your intellectual understanding of the world, is that though summer and winter are very different, they are both beautiful in their own
