The web is a common site for teenagers, especially students, to search for information. gather reliable resources from websites for homework, projects, presentations. Many could also learn online from organizations such as “Khan Academy” which creates videos on different subjects.for for everyone free of charge. Internet education became widely popular as seen from the increased usage of the internet in classroom by 45% from Year 2000. This is a significant increase. Most importantly, having abundant online resources helps make a new form of learning known as E-learning. E-learning is able to help teach teenagers self-learning which is a useful tool in real life. Clay Shirky, the author of “Does the internet make you smarter?” wrote about how ignorance has poisoned the internet with incorrect information. Not only does technology has its flaws, but so do books and novels dating back to the Protestant Reformation. Even though many people are against the internet Shirky reassures that if used correctly and appropriately, then it can become a very useful tool that can “tap our cognitive surplus”. The increased collaboration of technology is important to society for the reason that the internet is full of valuable knowledge that can be claimed very quickly and easily. I think that technology and the internet can and have brought people together. The reason that i say that is because if you are homeschooled, than you can stay connected with your old friends.
