Islam supporting the Oppressed people:
Oppressing someone is considered a major sin in Islam. The Holy quran states that the way (of blame) is only against those who oppress people and those who do wrong will come to know by what a great reversal they will be overturned.
Fourth caliph as an example:
Not only this the Hazrat Abu Bkr, who was the first caliph of Islam showed a great example of helping Hazrat Bilal by purchasing him and setting him free as his master used to torture him a lot. He also used

His eldest son, Imam Hassan withdrew himself from the caliphate just to avoid any chaos for the population of the Islamic state.
Imam Hussain A.S , the grandson of prophet , also took a step in favour of the oppressed ones by travelling all the way from Madinah to Kufa when the people of Kufa wrote to him telling him about them being oppressed and asking for his help. Soon after this Imam Hussain went to Kufa with his family and companions and sacrificed his and their lives fighting against the oppressors. Even after losing his family he did not surrender against the army of Yazeed and set a great example of rising against the oppressor for us to follow till the end.
Till date Muslims are being oppressed in different parts of the world which clearly shows that Muslims are not the oppressors and an oppressor is never a true Muslim.

Prophet pbuh himself became an orphan at the age of six and he also adopted a son, Zayd, who is said to be the object of his parental affection. An early Quranic verse[8] celebrates God’s providence and care towards him(Surat Ad-Duha). Other Quranic verses identify those who repulse the orphan as unbelievers.
The rewards waiting for those who feed orphans, poor and the prisoner for the love of God is also mentioned in the holy quran. Moreover, the there is also a warning those who wrongfully consume the property of orphans that the people who will do wrong to the orphans will be punished in the hereafter with "fire in their own bellies “The Quran also gives concrete instructions to the guardians regarding the orphans, particularly on how to protect their wealth and property
Slavery had a key role in the cultures of Muslim and European people. The documents provided, after being analyzed, tell that the thoughts about slavery from each culture were different. The documents also state that the reasons for the differences in the opinions about slavery were because of religions and basic cultural ideals. Nevertheless, there were some similarities between their slavery. One of the most important is the social status of the slaves.
In addition, Brigitte claims that Islam incarnates violence and accuses it to “supersede” any man-made law via the Sharia law. To respond to her claims, the author
Islam is a religion that was established by a man named Muhammed and means ‘submission.’ As sources say, an angel approached Muhammad while he was meditating in a cave; and told him about the word of Allah, the only God. After Islam was born, and the word of the angel was the beginning of the Qur’an. Islam was established as a monotheistic religion, as Muslims would only believe in one God, and was first preached by Muhammad. Islam grew, and eventually, the first Muslim community was developed in Medina, a city in Saudi Arabia.
But before one understands what al-Bazzaz discusses, the reader first needs to know about Hussein’s very early childhood background. His father left before he was born, his
Over the course of history, many oppressive systems have been overthrown by the people whom they belittled. Even today, here in our country that boasts the ideology of freedom, we continue to be oppressed under the false pretense of education. You might ask how that is possible because you don’t feel oppressed. Well, it is because that is how you have been conditioned to think by some of your teachers, and the education system.
As an insight, I have learned that feral children should be taken into consideration, especially when they had terrible experiences. Despite these developments were greatly affected, it is never too late to learn again about the world around them. And most importantly, if I were a parent, who is a primary conditioner of a child, I must treat my child with utmost care, in order for her path not to be broken as a result of
“The Islamic teachings have left great traditions for equitable and gentle dealings and behavior, and inspire people with nobility and tradition” (H.G. Wells). The society and world around us are greatly influenced by the muslim people, or more specifically, the influence of the Islamic world. Their impact on the world is a controversial topic and their role is also often seen as negative. People are constantly oppressing minorities, but without the Muslims or teachings of Islam, the world wouldn’t be the same. This group of people achieved so many things that are considered necessary to our world today, and not many people recognize that.
Antigone and Martin Luther King Jr. are both very important figures when it comes to discussing the topic of civil disobedience; both fought for what they believed to be right and against the injustice of the state. Antigone went against the edict of the king and buried her brother and Martin Luther King Jr. broke the law to try to end segregation and racism in America. Even though some similarities can be found between the two, ultimately they went about civil disobedience in very different ways. Antigone’s method was personal and selfish and she took an extremely defiant and rash stance while martin Luther King’s approach was more analytical and thought out. It is for these reasons that I believe King’s method was more successful and is the
With the insult the men of Afghanistan face being a simple education for their very own daughters, it is quite clear that women are degraded within society and treated as lesser human beings. The thought of denying one a right as simple as an education is what is really holding the society of Afghanistan back and blatantly exposes women's unequal rights. With these rights being
Islam is the second biggest religion and fastest growing in the world today. Islam is a religion that Muslims follow and is a monotheistic faith regarded as revealed through Muhammad as the prophet of Allah. For Muslims, Muhammad is the last prophet and Abraham is the patriarch of the Qur’an, Bible and Torah. Islam is followed by over a billion people and Muslims make up approximately one quarter of the world’s population. Islam spread quickly during the 600’s trade, choice, and conquest.
A. PREAMBLE The terrorist attack on September 11, 2001 has sparked intense curiosity and interest in the world especially the West to learn and investigate the religion of Islam. The Muslim people are portrayed as violent and barbaric, and Islam as oppressive and antithesis to human rights values. Thus, escalation of public opinion about Islam has encouraged debates and forums, and also stirred demonstrations and movements which have compelled the Muslims to speak out their minds and interpret and recast their texts viz. Quran and Sunnah of prophet Mohammad and even question and challenge the prevailing culture and practices, and domineering structures.
Malcolm X and Mahatma Gandhi were two incredible men, both fighting for independence among their people. These distinctly different men were among the strongest fighters who set foot in authority. Malcolm X, an African-American leader spread religion to combat the weakening of his fellow African-Americans, as well as to expand the supporters of Muslim beliefs. Mahatma Gandhi, a leader in India’s independence movement from the British, weakened British rule through civil resistance. While Malcolm X and Gandhi both fought for their people’s freedom, their religion, beliefs, and methods for achieving independence differ in certain aspects but also have similar elements.
However, what really upset Iqbal was the fact that he was denied an education. Finally, at age 10 Iqbal escaped this place, that was keeping him as a slave and was FREE! Pakistan in its current situation is a developing country, yet to acknowledge the realization of the fact that, a religious state is bound by the existence of its own rules and regulations. Hence, as laid down in the constitution, “No law shall be made in derogation of the injunctions of Islam”. When we talk about the practicality of laws in our country, one may find a practice, which is, if not completely then partly existing on a notion, opposed to the theoretical side, of which we are obliged to study in our pursuit for education. Freedom of religion is a fundamental right which is said to be given to all the citizens of Pakistan. Practically I don’t find that to be the case.
According to the famous sociologists Sylvia Walby, patriarchy is “a system of social structure and practices in which men dominate, oppress and exploit women”. Women’s exploitation is an age old cultural phenomenon of Indian society. The system of patriarchy finds its validity and sanction in our religious beliefs, whether it is Hindu, Muslim or any other religion. For instance, as per ancient Hindu law giver Manu, “Women are supposed to be in the custody of their father when they are children, they must be under the custody of their husband when married and under the custody of her son in old age or as widows.
