THE IMPACT OF MANAGEMENT IN THE GLOBALIZATION OF BUSINESS

Before getting into the impact of management in the globalization of business, I feel we must first understand how globalization has affected business. Globalization has allowed companies to expand their business outside of their own country and into multiple countries. This enormous change has come with the need for management in business to adjust. To succeed as a multinational corporation, a company’s management must ensure that they meet exceedingly different needs, cultural sensitivities, and income levels of the countries whose market they wish to enter.

• The Multinational Corporation

A multinational corporation, also known as a transnational corporation, can be defined as a corporation that is registered and operates out of more than one country, typically with its headquarters in its originating country, with subsidiaries in another country or countries. With thorough research into a country’s social and economic values, excellent management and strategies, a corporation can become very successful in terms of overall profit. It can also benefit its host country(s) by offering employment and by improving the standard of human rights.
