Every learner has different needs and teachers need to take into consideration the individual learning needs of students in order to help them succeed. Since the four teacher share the same students they are able to discuss the needs of their student in order to develop strategies and programs that may help the student. This assures that no student falls through the cracks. There has been links to effective teams and academic performance. “Middle schools have successfully improved student performance when they have also had a common decision-making vision that led to creative, inviting, supportive, and safe school environment.” (Erb, T. O, 2006, pg 7) Getting to know students well and to take into consideration their needs as well as changes they are
It has been evident that teachers are playing an important role in a student’s everyday life. Teachers do have the ability to create safe learning atmosphere for the students. In addition to this, they do have the power to identify student’s strengths and weaknesses. Most importantly, teachers can generate a progressive educational understanding. However, a teacher cannot be a successful teacher all alone.
*The role of the teacher is simply to provide a service to the learners work with the subject (Anonymous, 2013). Learning is a continuous process of growth and development acquired through self-activity and personal experience. It takes place within the students. The teacher should motivate the students to get involved in activities that are meaningful, appealing and varied students learn faster when they manipulate materials during
The central argument in the study is that learning is a social process where learners engage in joint endeavors with others to co-construct knowledge. In this sense, learners are the ‘active participants in the practices of social communities and constructing identities in relation to these communities’ (Wenger’s, 1998: 4). In language classrooms, the importance of interaction and communication between learners have been gradually recognized, and group work has been put into wider use. Despite a great amount of research that investigates the negotiation of meaning in the linguistic sense during group work, less has been devoted to uncovering the configurations of relations and the forging of identities when learners participate in group work.

The history of teaching, however, has been experienced different methods and models with their own principles in teaching and learning materials. The one, which has been attracted lots of attention and become popular among language teachers and learners, is Cooperative learning (CL). Killen (2007) defines it as an instructional design that stimulates peer interaction and learners cooperation in the process of successful learning.
Cooperative learning can be defined as a team approach to learning where each member of the group is dependent on the member to accomplish a specific learning task or assignment (UNISA, 2010). The level of responsibility from the individual learners can be assessed by the overall success of the group-work that depend up on each member of the group. Coetzee (2006) believe that this sense of interdependence and teamwork leads to increase in academic achievement for most learners, and also has the added benefit of providing opportunities for learners to improve their socialization skills and become more aware of and sensitive to cultural diversity among learners. Cooperative learning demands for communication, trust leadership and conflict resolution skills. The educator as a leader should monitor the learner’s behavior, sharing work with other groups and reflecting on the group learning experience.
To do so we must adopt appropriate teaching roles to support our learning goals and support our students. However by understanding these principles and applying them we can recognize and overcome obstacles. As future teachers we have to make sure we can help our students understand and bring to practice in real life everything we have taught them. The proper tools used in class will help the achieve success when they can communicate effectively in a natural environment with self-confidence. .
Teacher as a part of education should be seen as an important ‘dynamo’ which can generate the educational process. They are not just a complementary part in education but they are the key point that determine whether or not the education goal suceed. Furthermore, the first chapter of The Law of Republic of Indonesia No. 14 Year 2005 on Teacher and Lecturer stated that teacher is a professional educator who educate, teach, guide, train, assess and evaluate learners in early, primary and secondary education and lecturer is a professional educator and scientist who transform, develop and publish science and technology through education, research and community service. By knowing that, teacher can be said as the important key to develop national education.
Being a teacher is a wonderful occupation that is full of enjoyment. As a teacher, I can watch my students grow and learn due to our hard work. Their work is just as difficult as mine but there is no better feeling in the world then seeing student’s faces as they grasp a new concept or to be able to do something they have not before. The satisfaction I get from improving my students’ knowledge is why I have become a teacher but this is not the only reason. My students also teach me a great deal; perhaps it is about their culture or without them knowing they also teach me how to be a better teacher.
One of the most important skills for teachers to develop is the ability to differentiate instruction. Differentiation involves modifying the content, process, product or learning environment to effectively address the variety of student interests, learning preferences, affective needs and readiness levels in today's classrooms. (Gould, 2004). Richerds (2016 ) points out that teachers who are skilled at communication, classroom management and appropriate discipline techniques create a positive learning environment. Although being well versed in your subject area is important, being able to communicate necessary skills and concepts in a way students can understand is crucial.
