In fact it is important to recognize the things that we do in our everyday life when it comes to money it is with a doubt thanks to the understanding of math. I have also learned that I accept that is it is not my best subject but I acknowledge that and there is nothing I can do but try my absolute best. Another thing I learned which I thought was interesting was what mathematicians do on a day to day I just find it fascinating that math comes so easily to them. I guess that it really shows you that everyone truly has a talent that they excel at. This personal refection made me really understand the role that math plays in my life and how math effects my life.
This project has prepared for collage because I have learned time management skills. The time management skill that I have developed has helped me in other classes. My grades are great because of my time management skills and English is the core class that students can learn time management skills. These essays have stressed me, out but if I did not do them, I would not have learned efficient time management
And I was good at math in high school. I was enjoying math, and never got bored when I was doing my homework. However, I like to study about human body structures. Taking care of patient. Choosing a right major was getting harder and harder because I enjoy doing math problems and l love to take care of people.
I always do my homework, and have everything submitted on time. I am always very respectful of my classmates and teachers, and have very good social skills. However, I also have weaknesses to go along with my strengths. There are many areas I need to improve in, and I am willing to put the effort into making these things strengths. I need to work on studying for tests and quizzes, for short periods of time each day, leading up to them.
My English Composition Course has been challenging regarding the amount of time needed to finish this course as it requires a great deal of times and attention. Consequently, I learned the best way to balance my schedule of activities through, utilizing the maximum available time. Hence, working diligently on finding ways to help balance some of the challenges with work, home, school, and personal responsibilities. This course of study has taught me a lot of valuable lessons; organization, time management, planning and research practice that I use in my daily routine, in doing more planning ahead of schedule by means of being more disciplined, avoiding distraction, asking my significant other and my daughter to assist in the home with some of the responsibility, by planning a weekly schedule to guide me on what to do on a given time and date for accomplishing my daily task and responsibilities. On my timetable or schedule, I formed a routine to set my Phone alarm to wake me up at 4:a.m, I would go into my study room to do reviews and research for, forty (40) minutes.
I really stressed because I am mostly worried about this class instead of all my other classes. I hope that I make a good grade in this class or actually pass as of right now. This process has taught me a lot on how to conduct research on a topic. Racial profiling in education is something I am passionate about because of all the findings that I have come across. It strikes an interest in me because I am an Elementary Ed major and I will deal with certain situations that I have read about and I hope I make the right decision when my time comes.
Being a perfectionist is a strength because it gets me quite a lot of “oohs” and “aahs” from parents, teachers, and students by putting extra effort everything. Being a perfectionist also allows me to do the best I can do with my art and creations. Being passionate is one of my strengths as well because it gives me an urge to do what I love and try out new things. I chose math as one of my strengths because a lot of girls don't like math and when I mention that to people they know that I am unique and won’t give up easily when facing hard problems. My last strength is also my ability to decorate
Most assuring to me in my report was seeing mathematics as my highest interest and investigative as my predominant theme, as I feel that I am a strong student in math and a highly curious individual who likes to seek out facts. I was a bit unsatisfied with some of the other results. However, Miss Mindy told me to just use these assessment reports as a guide, as I am ultimately in control of what career path I decide to
I have the ability to concentrate very well which allows me to pay attention to all the details of the lesson being taught. This is helping me to become English one of my strengths. Certainly, my principal academic strength is mathematics, because this is the subject that challenge me the most and the field which I like the most. However, with effort, the determination that I possess, and my ability of being a quick learner I know that soon English is going to be one of my academic
In Math, Scott is working on developing a strategy to help him solve one-digit and two-digit multiplication problems. He has been exposed to the Bow-Tie method for two-digit, grouping and the array strategy for one-digit multiplication. He is doing very well at understanding and using the method to assist him in solving the multiplication problems. There have been improvements in his assessments by creating a strategy that works for him. After Scott has used the strategy over time, he will develop automaticity for solving the multiplication.
This shows that there are still and we can change that by helping other people. I made a difference because I helped these students understand the materials they’re supposed to learn in class. This was eye opening because seeing how happy the kids understand something made me feel like a teacher. Personally, I learned kids love when adults care about them. They like it when I teach them math.
I formed this group because Alyssa and I were both struggling and I know Porter is great at math so I reached out to him to help us and study together. The group has been helpful because a lot of my questions can be answered by my friends. The dynamic is great because none of us are afraid to sound dumb with questions, so we are all very open and open to helping. We haven’t strictly followed the guidelines in the hand out being that we feel that the way the study group naturally works is great for us and our own learning styles. Overall, I’m happy to have my study group to help me with a class that is harder than any class I have ever
Bridger Haffey Narrative for US101 Throughout the course of this class I have come to realize that involvement and participation is essential to my success in this course. Not only is participation a large amount of my grade, but it is also a means to understanding the material that we discuss in class. Personally, I learn best when I ask questions and get involved in finding connections between themes and ideas. This is not only true for discussion, but also for classes like calculus where it is very easy to fall behind unless I am fully engaged. I think it is very important to go about discussion with an open mindset, always looking for different arguments, and always thinking about how the topic applies to me at that moment in time.
Academic achievement has always come naturally for me, however, I understand the importance of good study habits and have implemented them in my weaker subjects, such as anatomy and physiology and psychology. By using what I learned throughout my time in Upward Bound about good study habits, I will be able to earn an adequate grade in my Bridge classes. Taking good notes and organizing them properly is the first and most crucial step to achieving a good grade in a difficult class. I surely knew this before entering the program in ninth grade, but the importance of this struck me during an Upward Bound workshop in my early years of the program, where we were shown examples of good notes in every subject. These examples were concise, easy to
