Jackies career consisted of many obstacle and barriers that he had to jump over, through his childhood times, his come up to being a MLB player, and lastly his time of becoming a hall of famer.

I. With Jackie being persistent which his choice of a sport only known as a white sport overall, trying to make his way to the MLB created a huge stir in the game of baseball.
a. In this biography it states that Jackie said that “You might say that I turned professional at an early age,”
b. He wasn’t actually paid good money when he was younger he was paid in having a “good meal and some side cash to go do some activities”

This will strengthen my paper by showing his time in high school which not a lot of people know about.
e. These examples show how he was not the most outgoing guy in high school and they also prove that Jackie not only had baseball he had football also.
IV. Third Criterion for Assessment
a. Hall of fame was one of the most important ending of Robinsons career. With him being selected for the Baseball Hall of Fame and the struggles he faced with it.
b. Hall of fame is a rare award to get and Jackie Robinson won that award
i. “He knew that being selected for the Baseball Hall of Fame in a player’s first year of eligibility was a rare honor” ii. To be selected for the Baseball Hall of Fame is rare and to be “inducted his first year” was even more rare.
c. There was another player that made it also.
i. “Cleveland Indians pitcher Bob Feller made into the Hall of Fame the first year (also)” ii. These two men made into the Hall of Fame the first year they played and even though Feller had more votes they both got in.
d. This will strengthen my paper by showing the end of Robinsons career and what he had to go through to become a “Hall of Famer”.
e. These examples prove that Jackie did have a great career and going into the Hall of Fame proved that he was an amazing
