There have been many great NBA players take the court and do amazing things. Wilt Chamberlain scored 100 points in a game. Kobe Bryant once scored 81 points in the modern era. Even Curry 's teammate, Klay Thompson, set a record last season for most points in a quarter with 37. The list of great players who did great things on the court also includes Oscar Robertson (averaged a triple-double over an entire season), Michael Jordon, Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, Kareem-Abdul Jabbar and Jerry
Scout did not understand at the moment why the men were there, but her father knew full well that if he did not stop them someone would be murdered. Atticus was able to confront the men calmly, and because of his rationality, he was able to save a man’s life.
Tremaine Townsend, born December 11, 1986 at Sharps Hospital, San Diego, CA, he is my only son, I decided to write about someone who is near and dear to my heart. I am very proud of my son he has been a blessing to me and has made me so proud to be a father. Tremaine was always an exceptional basketball player. He played first string his freshman and sophomore year at North High School here in Phoenix, AZ. During that time Tremaine grew maybe a couple of inches, from 5’10” to 6’0” tall, no major growth spurt but that summer Tremaine grew 6 inches, now that is major.
Then, he returned to lead in scoring for seven consecutive seasons, averaging nearly 33 points a night. Arguably the best all-around player on both sides of the court. Won the MVP five times (1988, 1991, 1992, 1996, and 1998) and Defensive Player of the Year (1988). Doing all this in fashion as he stuck his tongue out, as he embarrassed you in front of millions of on-lookers. Winning two gold medals, after taking his
Each day San Francisco built about thirty houses and got news of two murders and one fire. The young and armed male population used to drink at more than forty hundred bars and gamble at more than one thousand dens. Gambling halls earned hundreds of thousands of gold in an average day. There were six big fires in San Francisco within eighteen months with losses of twenty-five million dollars and hundreds of lives. However, after each disaster, the city rose once more, bigger and
The way I look at it is that he did go above and beyond his duty as a police officer in saving this man’s life, because he is not a fire fighter. I believe that the main cause of Officer Jones’s actions was his dedication to keeping people safe. Jones stated in the papers "I don 't really see myself as a hero; I was just doing my job," (Testa, 2014). The typical duties of a police officer are often: (1) keeping the peace; (2) law enforcement; (3) protection of people; and property; and (4) to investigate crimes. Jones however went well above his duties not once but twice, second time being when a man nearly drowned to death in a
So this is why Fidel enthusiasm and decision and leaving it there not wanting to do anything with the criminals was a great choice. Overall, the ideas in the article “The forgotten victim from Florence and Normandie” are agreeable and correctly handled in the situation. Many Ideas in the article were very meaningful. Lopez article was very good, glad that he mentions Fidel’s Lopez case. Not Everyone would have handled the same way Fidel did in such nonviolent way.
His message is that even carefree people can be heroes. That heroes don’t always have to be wholly serious. McMurphy is a fun-loving guy who throws caution to the wind and is still the hero of the patients at the mental institution. Farther into the book, Kesey says that “Because he knows you have to laugh at the things that hurt you just to keep yourself in balance, just to keep the world from running you plumb crazy.” (pg. 212).
A hero is someone that saves the day, or makes a person better. A twisted hero does the same thing, however, their heroic actions are not as obvious. Om from Our Twisted Hero could be considered a twisted hero. Throughout the novel, Om was depicted as a vicious dictator that nobody had ever challenged. When Han moved to this school, however, he was keen to notice all of Om’s flaws, and was the first one to challenge his rule.

On page 47, he explains that he is not a murderer because he gives his victims fair warning by “snapping the twig,” before he appears. Likewise, I liked Brent’s speech on page 61, which gives the audience an in-depth look at the way Brent sees the world, rather his disdain for society. Brent projects the fault onto his victims for their deaths due to their inability to detach themselves from material items and their overall lack of appreciation for the freedom they have to live and breath each second of each day to the fullest. The writer has done a good job with the psychological foundation of Brent’s character, but by the second act, it felt as though the writer loses sight of the character motivations. What do you think needs work?
