As working at the small company with no employees, just only Erika’s as the intern and the owner. After 6th weeks of the internship, the owner gave him the keys to the office that she did not need to come in regularly if she had other things to do. Erika can create tasks and organize the office in the way that he wants without any supervision from his boss. Erika felt unsatisfied with his boss as to seem careless to what he had done for her business. Even, the owner has offered him a permanent job after the internship is completed, but he would love her to show that she cared more about his work. In chapter 7.1, Makarsky defines decision making is probably the one element of a manager 's job that can clearly determine success or failure. In this case, I think the decision-making is really important for his future, whether he wants to stay in this business or not. Back in 2013, our organization decided to purchase and implement the latest software that was available which was promised to better serve our types of industry. It was one of the biggest financial investment that our company made anticipating reasonable production and performance returns within a year of implementation the new system. It has been nearly three years that we have not yet utilized 50 % of the performances that was promised. In fact this upgrading took us back by requiring us to do some manual work because we can 't do what we were able do with our old system. Although several factors played in this circumstance.
Finally, John must be an achiever. Since teamwork is key to the success of the store, John must maintain his positive work environment with associates when everyday life seems to be stagnant. He is able to give enough time and attention to several managerial duties while completing his daily personal goals during turbulent times. John delegates duties to associates when needed. James appeared to need coaching at work. He gives the impression to be uninterested and unengaged. Managers had been over heard discussing his lack of organization and discipline at work. James was a very productive and effective employee under a different manger so he could be receptive to coaching. It is very important that the right coaching style be chosen for James.
I am assuming he has enjoyed the culture of the company to stay with them for such an extended length of time. If I were Norman, I would be confident in my own actions. I realized there was an issue and I investigated to see if the issue was accurate, and when I found that there was an issue, I addressed it head on (he led with corporate social responsibility (CSR) (Mondy, 2016, p. 25). I set an example for others in the department that unethical behavior will not be tolerated.
SUPERMAX Corporation Berhad should be aware of their cultural differences in the workplace. Since there have a lot of different race in Malaysia and also most of the workers are from the different background so it can easily cause communication barrier happen between all the workers within the workplace. SUPERMAX should treat this issue seriously and handle it properly in order to avoid misunderstanding and tension between employees.
