The Jararaca Pit Viper On page 26 of his book, The Lost City of Z: A Tale of Deadly Obsession in the Amazon, David Grann presents information on the Jararaca pit viper. He stated that the Jararaca is the most venomous snake in the Americas. One bite will cause a person to bleed from the eyes and become a corpse piece by piece. I found this interesting because I had never heard of the Jararaca and would like to research more information about them. Throughout my essay I will discuss the physical description, mating and reproduction habits, and behavior of the Jararaca pit viper. The Bothrops Jararaca, commonly known as the Jararaca pit viper, definitely has a unique physical description. The Jararacas are slender with flat, ridged

The Burmese pythons are one of the world’s largest snakes. According to the article “Burmese Pythons: Not the Ideal Pet” it says: “Capable of growing to an astounding length of 23 feet and a weight of up to 200 pounds” Imagine a telephone pole, and then a snake as big around the middle as that pole. That’s the Burmese python. Also according to the article “Burmese Pythons: Not the Ideal Pet” it says: “Burmese pythons survive primarily on small birds and mammals. Although they have no venom, they have other, quite effective means of killing their prey” this means that Burmese pythons are carnivores, they do not have venom and they kill their prey with their back-curving teeth.
Battering husbands Violence in the family is a wide unfortunate phenomenon that can occur anywhere. When it comes to battered women, the psychologies makes distinction between two types of husbands and characterize each one of them differently. In this assay I will describe the similarities and the differences between those two types; the pit bulls and the cobras. There are not many similarities between the two. The main one that was discovered in the research is that both types of battering husbands are likely to have some kind of traumatic history that effects their current behavior.
Over the years, there were many cases of domestic violence. One of the most famous cases is the case of O.J. Simpson who killed his wife in 1995. There were a lot of studies throughout the years about domestic violence, one of them was published in the book "When Men Batter Women" by Dr. Neil Jacobson and Dr. John Gottman. In this book the scholars divide battering men to two types: cobras and pit bulls. In this essay I will explain the similarities and differences between the two types.
The White Snakeroot is a plant that is very commonly found across the southern regions of the United States and was initially believed to be harmless. It was believed to be harmless because its appearance is very non threatening. It is a very beautiful plant with medium sized white flowers and a green stem. It wasn’t until after it had killed hundreds of people and livestock that we realized that it produced toxic chemicals, that if consumed, was cause certain death. The explanation of this plants deadly nature contributes to the author’s thesis.

Burmese Pythons are very unique, other than their outstanding length and weight, they kill their prey very different than most snakes. Burmese Pythons are constrictors.
The Fila Brazileiro also known as the Brazilian Mastiff, has been a banned breed in the UK since the Dangerous Dogs Act was passed in 1991. They are a large working breed native to Brazil known for their tracking ability as a hunting dog and aggressiveness as a guarding dog. They were also used when slavery was legal in Brazil to locate and return any escapees to their masters, run away cattle back to the herd unharmed or protect herds from predators such as jaguars. It is thought the appearance and traits we see today are a result of cross breeding numerous breeds including the Mastiff, Bulldog and bloodhound. The breed is illegal to own in several countries without exemption from a court including the UK, Denmark and Cyprus; in other countries,

The Cherokee tribes are Native toward the North American landmass. At the point when the European settlers came over in the sixteenth century, the Cherokee Native American Indians were living in the East and Southeast United States. They are one of five tribes known as the Five Civilised Tribes. Alternate tribes were the Chickasaw, Choctaw, Creek, and Seminole. They were considered as civilised by white settlers because they had started using a significant number of the traditions grabbed from the colonists.
The main reason of this is mainly because they were associated with violence and revenge in many Native American cultures and they were barely associated with positive qualities. The Native Americans had nine snake gods and spirits, Awanyu (Pueblo), Coatlicue (Aztec) , Horned Serpents (Eastern tribes), Pitaskog (Abenaki), Quetzalcoatl (Aztec), Situlili (Hopi/Zuni), Snake-Woman (Caddo), Tie-snake (Southeast tribes) , Unktehi (Lakota Indian Serpent). It was said that it could swallow a human in one piece or squash the human with its weight alone. If Unhcegila 's slime touched the ground it passed over the ground, the ground would become infertile and its slime made flesh rot away.
Pit bulls have created a bad reputation throughout the years, but is it really their fault? This breed of dog can be harmful, or harmless, depending on how they are raised. Although they are the most lethally aggressive when trained to be, it isn’t really up to the dogs themselves, but to the people who own them. Should people be able to own pit bulls? Or does it cause more harm and disorder for others who don’t own any pit bulls?
