Throughout the world, there are thousands of different religions. Religion is intertwined with culture, economics, politics, and relationships on every aspect. Whether you attend a synagogue, mosque, or abstain entirely, you simply cannot escape religion. Religions can vary from the number of gods they believe in, their clothing, and who their spiritual leader is. According to Merriam- Webster religion is an organized system of beliefs, ceremonies, and rules used to worship a god or group of gods. It is an institution that explains the meaning of sacred and unknown things. Islam, Christianity, Judaism, and Buddhism are some of the great religions of the world.

This religion claims a worldwide population of 8.2 million people. The group first emerged from the Bible Study movement founded by Charles Taze Russell in the 1870’s, but then the name Jehovah’s Witness was adopted in 1931. Their beliefs don’t differ much from mainstream Christianity, but one major difference is that Jehovah is the name of God. In their bible, Jehovah is replaced for God. With these views, they go door to door preaching and trying to convert people to their religion. This could be annoying if you have strong belief in another religion. There are many laws if you are a Jehovah Witness such as you can’t belong to an organized club for the purpose of communicating with non believers, say the pledge of allegiance, vote, play bingo, or sing any holiday songs. Many of the activities believers of other religions do every day. Following all these rules gives you a better chance to be apart of the 144,000 to go to Heaven. They believe that only 144,000 people go to Heaven and you must be a Jehovah Witness to go
