Jessica Perez is the first person to go to college in her family and was confused and had a tough time when it came to the college applications. While having issues of her own at home forced her to come of age very young which is why she chose to go to college. She originally chose Stanford as it was her dream college, yet was rejected. Students who went there were mainly rich and high on the totem pole type of people. At the school Luma learned how to speak English fluently and she had chances to speak and meet with Americans. Luma was also an outstanding athlete that was pushed everyday by her coach, Coach Brown. Coach Brown pushed Luma because she expected more from her and everyday Luma did everything that was expected from her. She did not like Coach Brown, because she made Luma an example to the other girls on the team, but she did respect her and her coaching methods.

Coming from a Mexican background and first time generation College student, I have had to face the difficulties with being first. When I was younger, I noticed that most of my classmates were not in the same boat as I was. This led to me thinking less of myself and being embarrassed of where I came from. As I grew older, I found classmates who were in the same situation as I was and suddenly my background was not the burden I thought it was. I learned to accept who I am and feel apart of something once I discovered some of class mates come from the same origins.

In her early life, she was influenced by her father when it came to learning. As a young girl, she had many childhood events and a great education that impacted her life. Born in White Sulphur, WV, she was like a walking and talking robot. Her parents were a huge contribution to her success. Her father wanted her to have such a good education that he moved to a different school.
Upon reading this story the blame is to be put on Jenny. Going to college is a big decision and requires motivation, ambition, and a lot of time. Jenny gave in to Gloria and Louise's bad decisions and ended up failing her paper, therefore she would have to reap the repercussions. Number 1 is Jenny, She knows right from wrong and knew what could happen if she submitted a purchased paper. Number 2 is Gloria, She recommended the sites as if they were a good thing to do and lead her coworker down a bad path.
In my assessment concerning the professionalism of Mrs. Perez, she is a character with a gift in counseling that makes her appropriate for a counseling job particularly the one that deals with women. Her counseling changes live and she has been able to assist many women to change for the better. From my experience with her, I feel like this is the best career for me and I have to pursue it by any means. The method through which she approaches things is the best and can be of significant help to many women with similar problems.
