There are many people in the world who are influential. These people impact the world in a positive way by inspiring people to follow there dreams,stand up for what they believe in, and overcome obstacles. Ordinary people, who walk down the street or people who you are friends with, can be heroes. Christopher Reeves once said, “A hero is an ordinary individual who finds the strength to persevere and endure in spite of overwhelming obstacles.” Three characteristics that make someone a hero include overcoming obstacles, having courage, and showing patience.

The novel, Adventures Of Huckleberry Finn, is a story of a young boy and a slave who ran away from their homes in search of freedom. Even though they were running away from home, they both wanted the same thing. They grew a strong relationship together throughout the book. Jim became the main adult figure in Huck Finn’s life, helping to make decisions but making sure to not be strict like Huck’s home. I think that part of the reason Huck liked Jim so much was because even though Jim was older, he was african-american so Huck felt like he was not being controlled.

A hero is one who portrays noble characteristics, willing to face obstacles and has the ability to handle both physical and mental strengths. It is difficult to play the role of a hero.
