Jimi’s early years weren’t so easy. His parents went through a rough patch in their marriage and got divorced in 1951. Hendrix was only at the age of nine when his parents split. His mother died when he was only fifteen. She died of liver cirrhosis because of her drinking habits. Hendrix lived with his father but worshipped his mother while she was gone. Jimi had two brothers and two sisters. His two brother’s names were Leon and Joseph Hendrix. His sister’s names were Kathy, and Pamela. His brother Joseph, was born physically challenged and went into foster care at the age of three. His other two sisters were also in foster care.
