Outcome oriented is the outcome, where you win or lose or achieve a certain target is probably contrasted with something like a process orientation, where the focus is on the way you play or perform. For example, a highjumper with an outcome orientation will be concentrating on clearing the bar at a particular height (or win the competition), whereas someone with a process orientation will be thinking more about the details of their style and performance (and could be happy when the outcome even if they lose if they feel that they actually performed very well).
