Dwight David Eisenhower served two terms in the United States White House from 1953 to 1961. He was the 34 president serving right before John Fitzgerald Kennedy. His main time in office was during the Cold War with Russia. Eisenhower had hope to create peace with the Russians, but gave up soon after. During his time as president, multiple laws were created to help the citizens of the United States.
Presidents have played innumerable roles throughout the course of history, but their effectiveness is often debated. Abraham Lincoln, George Washington, and Franklin D. Roosevelt are commonly considered the most effective presidents. They have made the country an improved place and advanced it in countless ways; however, one president stands above the rest. Franklin D. Roosevelt was the best US president because he allowed the government to have a more active role in the economy and connected with each individual. Roosevelt persuaded Congress into passing bills that allowed the federal government to actively work towards the management of the security of the economy.
My opinion is Dwight David Eisenhower is a really good president because he is a well remembered war hero. He also knew how to calmly handle one crisis after another like the Korean war, the Cold war, and the integration of schools in the
The best presidents are ones with some style. All accomplishments and achievements to the side, a president should be memorable. Nobody does that better than Teddy Roosevelt. Theodore “Teddy” Roosevelt is the best President to ever serve the United States of America because of his accomplishments in both his professional life and his personal life, along with his larger than life personality, and also because the American people loved him.
The best US President will always be remembered for what they accomplished in their term as President, Ronald Reagan was a President that carried his amazing accomplishments even after his time as President. A great US President should have experience before taking office and should know what they are doing and keep America on the right track, also Reagan kept to his point and got things done, most of all President Reagan did something no one else could do and beat communism. These qualities made Ronald Reagan one of the best US Presidents. Before taking office as President of the US he was governor of California this gave him experience in the field of politics, he won his first election by 1 million votes. " He got the American economy growing again."
Our nation has had many great leaders and presidents. Many people could argue for hours over who was the best president and why. For me, the top three presidents were Abraham Lincoln, George Washington, and Thomas Jefferson. They were each great for many different reasons and without them our nation wouldnt be the way it is today but personally, i think George Washington was the best and most influlential president. If you ask anyone in America who were the top leaders of our nation, Geroge Washington would almost always be on the top of most people list.
Jimmy Carter once said, "The measure of a society is found in how they treat their weakest and most helpless citizens." President Carter did many amazing things for the people in and outside the United States. He is an overall amazing human being. Jimmy Carter was the 39th president of the United States. Right after President Nixon stepped down after his involvement in the Watergate scandal.
President Eisenhower fit all four criteria for the greatest president. military service, outstanding leadership through a war, proof of betterment of the country by fulfillment of his campaign promises and propitious influence on domestic affairs. This of course is in part to his presidency residing in the Atomic Age in the 50’s to early 60’s after WWII. Eisenhower served from 1953-1961, and was the first president bound by the 22nd amendment.
Franklin Delano Roosevelt could have done so much more to prevent the killing of 6 million jews. Even if that meant deciding that it would be best to drop the bomb on Auschwitz and kill 2,000 people. FDR thought about helping in various ways however, he never followed through. Agreeing with Beschloss, there was so much more FDR could have done to prevent the genocide or at least stop it once it had begun. FDR, along with most of the nation in World War II, focused on isolation but when it comes to the killing of such a mass amount of people, that is a time that it would be worth stepping in.
In America we have had many presidents, they have done their job to get America this far. I would have to say that president Ronald Reagan would be my choice in who I think was the best President. I know I wasn 't alive when he was president but if I could I would like to live that time period. President Ronald Reagan was the 40th president. When president Reagan was elected on November 4, 1980 he was the oldest man ever elected at the age of 69.
Lyndon B. Johnson was a very effective president. He wasn’t given an easy America to deal with, he was forced into the Vietnam problem. He had the same views as FDR. He was able to get stuff passed that FDR couldn’t, due to World War 2. He signed the Civil Rights Act and a tax cut, into law, that Kennedy couldn’t pass before his death.
The best US President, in my eyes, was George Washington. He was a strong character who had to overcome many things in his life. One of the greatest things he had to overcome was unknown to many people. George Washington suffered many illnesses such as: Diphtheria, tuberculosis, smallpox, dysentery, malaria, tonsillitis, carbuncle, pneumonia, and epiglottitis. Regardless of his disease, George Washington was always doing things for other people.
Obama 22. Reagan The three Presidents that I feel have been the most positive influences on our nation were George Washington, Ronald Reagan, and Abraham Lincoln. George Washington had one of the most positive influences on our country because
I think that the best US president was Abraham Lincoln because he was a great leader to all. When Lincoln was president he overcame a lot of pressure because at the time the US was in the Civil war even though he had a lot of pressure he was still brave and overcame hard situations. Lincoln had great leadership. when there was disagreement he involved telling a story on his point of the situation and people respected him for that. Lincoln was known for having sheer ambition and his hard work the most important action Lincoln took was his decision weather to fight to preserve the union he chose to fight them which resulted the US staying as one nation and not being split into two separate countries.
“What a great day for a boat ride,” I thought to myself. It is a cozy warm, shorts and short sleeve shirt day at the time that people are arriving onto the big bulky catamaran. The sky is light blue with some dainty see-through clouds and a slight warm western breeze. I am located on one of the tropical islands of Hawaii, Kauai. The glossy white surface of the boat is blinding because of the reflection from the early evening sun.
