He cared for everyone and earned the Purple Heart badge and many more for his sacrifices,” Kennedy received the Navy and Marine Corps medal for courage, endurance and excellent leadership [that] contributed to the saving of several lives and was in keeping with the highest traditions of the United States Naval Service.” (history.com) He was a great Soldier who was brave for what he’s done.
