Introduction
Everyday technology is striving with newer achievements. Life is getting more planned, mechanized, digital, electronic. But as the calm and comfort of the outer world is increasing the human inner self is becoming more perturbed. Apparently art and particularly fine arts is losing its relevance. If man can pursue all his earthly needs by technological and scientific endeavors then what is the need for indulging in imaginations or dreams? What is the purpose to do hard work to learn painting or sculpture or music? Is it just to entertain the self and others or the peculiar thing called

A lie? How can a lie be enlightening us to realize the truth? Then you must ask what is truth. And I found the answer in the Grecian Urn of John Keats “Beauty is truth”. I was utterly confused over the dilemmas and contradictions. If beauty is truth then what about ugly, the vulgar, the mean, the meek? Is it not also truth? Confused was I but my inner self was silently dictating me ‘No it can not be truth’. It can be reality, it may exist but it can never take the position of truth at least in the anthropocentric sense. Did the ugliness never ruled earth? Beauty is everywhere and ugliness is also everywhere, life and death both are reality, plants and weeds coexist, flowers and thorns are on the same plant. Then how can beauty be only truth? In many sleepless nights I walked on moonlit rocks in total seclusion to find the answers of this question. Again my inner self guided me and one day like a thunderous epiphany solved the paradox in Picasso’s words. I realized that here lies the duty of an artist. To create such sweet ‘lies’ that the ugliness will be overwhelmed by the hues of beauty, death will be projected as if a friend of life ,thorns will be putting symmetry to the flower and even the shadows will enhance the vibrancy of
Art from the natural world were made back in the day by indigenous people. Indigenous people or our ancestors used natural materials in order to create works of art. These artworks are pieces of artifacts that allow art historians to understand how our ancestors perceived art. In this essay we will be talking about the Painted Elk Hide and the Black-on-black ceramic vessels. By talking about these two works of art we will be able to have a further understanding of the natural world.
What is the definition of beauty? Webster’s dictionary says “the quality or aggregate of qualities in a person or thing that gives pleasure to the senses”, but to some people true beauty comes in fire. Such is it with the society seen in Fahrenheit 451. As Shown during the course of the novel the differences of character, acts, and opinions between Montag and Captain Beatty burn brighter that the kerosene drenched houses at night.
This interesting artwork is an extreme abstract artwork. The second floor consists fancy ceramics and sculptures from ancient time of the Native Americans, Africa, and France. The second floor is always dim lighted, but each artwork is well placed in a transparent box and a light focused on the artwork. Walking down the hallway on the first floor along with these interesting water paintings relaxes viewers. Colorful ceramics, detail paintings, meaningful sculptures, interesting architectural wires, and fascinating photos.
Each painting is unique, with a tactile presence, which reveals the hand of the artist. The image, which was the product of a split second drive by photo, now takes on substance through both the physicality of the paint, and through the contemplation of place and time. In this, the paintings come to represent more of a testament to her experience than the photographs. In the essay An Art That Eats Its Own Head – Painting in the Age of Images Barry Schwabgley acknowledges photographs place in contemporary art while also confirming the significance of painting, “ Although it was
Beauty is a combination of qualities, such as shape, colour, or form, that pleases the aesthetic senses, especially the sight. Brutality is savage physical violence; great cruelty. The human race can be beautiful a brutal since it balances the complex character which humans are, we see this in The Book Thief with the characters and how war makes them react. Compassion is beautiful since the caring nature which human can bring comfort for those who are sad and conflicted.
Truth is one of the most desirable things. Yet, often times humans can not tell the difference between lies and reality. Living under a falsehood would seem normal to people living on a lie for it is the truth to them. Sophocles and Steven Spielberg emphasize this point in their literature: Oedipus the King and Minority Report. The truth can shatter a human's illusion about the world they are living in .
Where does real beauty come from and what does it consist of? Does it come from technology and consist of self-ignorance. No, true beauty comes from what is found in nature and contains freedom of thinking, knowledge and truth. While technology and nature both have the free will to do whatever they please, technology destroys the human bond with nature. In Ray Bradburys Fagrenheit 451, our protagonist deals with conflicts involving nature versus technology.
However, the depiction of humans in the landscape are painted so minuscule that a viewer could easily miss them at first glance. To me, this conveys the idea of nature’s power and its dominance over man. Perhaps, this painting is be used to push the point of the

Perception and reality have a complex relationship. One’s perception is not necessarily ones reality. Roberto Bolaños once said, “People see what they want to see and what people want to see never has anything to do with the truth” (Bolaño). People see what they want to see, whether it is the reality or not. Perception determines one’s reality; paradoxically reality is not determined by perception.
Truth is often a term that is taken into consideration when one is verbally speaking, but most find it rather difficult to truly define truth. While every person can attempt to uniquely give their own interpretation to what the world regards as truth, the realm of philosophy presents several brilliants ideas about the concept. In general, the study of philosophy recognizes two truths: objective and subjective. Objective truth can be described as truth that has always existed whether one knows it or not, while subjective truth is dependent on the person’s ideas and feelings towards a reality. Influential and well-known philosophers such as Mortimer J. Adler and Plato have contributed thoughts that often present similar ideas about the definition
Picasso had many drawings that indirectly supported men to be the superior and wiser. For example, in his La vie painting he drew a naked woman standing beside a man who is wearing underwear, as on the other side there was another woman who was holding a baby. One can judge Picasso as a man who looked at women as sexual objects or mothers depending on what his paintings were about, especially this one. Therefore, one can realize how Picasso’s art has supported the inferiority of
In his documentary film “why beauty matters” English philosopher Roger Scruton introduces the idea of beauty is disappearing from our world. The philosopher implies, that Art has become ugly, as well as our physical surroundings, manners, language, and music. Nowadays, the main aim of art is to disturb and break moral taboos. It has now lost its initial duty and is used to show solely the ugliness of our world, instead of taking what is most painful in the human condition and redeeming it in the work of beauty. What according to Scruton is the main purpose of art.
Truth is a vast subject which has encountered several definitions through times, no matter if we rather take an interest in philosophy or in literature. In fact, those definitions always meet at some point and find their oppositions which are interesting and open to more questions and so, definitions. Freud, for example, says that the love that we have for the truth is our way to recognize the existence of truth . It underlines the link between truth and reality. We could wonder if one can go without the other.
The History of Beauty Umberto Eco raises the question in his work ‘why is the history of beauty documented solely through works of art?’ As Eco states, art is what we are left as examples. As a result, it gives us an insight into beauty standards throughout time and of different cultures around the world. Furthermore, artists ideally strive to create something that is appealing to the eye of the viewer, but also what the artist themselves envisions as beauty.
