The fictional world is full of chaos, as people tend to prefer unstable theories to countless philosophies. Specifically, there is a literary shift from linearity and order to randomness and fragmentation. Consequently, Postmodernist writers understand that their works are subject to interpretation; however, they believe that the flexibility of understanding in texts is the basis for the development of innovative ideas in society. Moreover, Kurt Dinan writes in a nonlinear, flexible fashion by writing with a component of Mystery. Subsequently, the reader can make different predictions on what will occur throughout Don’t Get Caught, and the ability to predict and analyze uniquely is one of the principal ideals of Postmodernist literature.
It gives the reader subtle hints about characters and their situations, clues to events that might happen, and it conveys necessary information about the story. In addition it can also tease or mislead the reader into thinking that something might happen that actually does not. In the novel Of Mice and Men, Steinbeck uses foreshadowing to give hints and clues about what might happen in the end of the book. If a writer fails to include some form of foreshadowing, there is a possibility that an incident or occurrence will happen too quickly and leave the reader confused and wondering why that particular event was not mentioned earlier, or why they are connected.
John Gardner’s wrote Grendel in a first point of view whereas, in Beowulf epic had Grendel in third point of view. Gardner’s novel has made a significant picture for Grendel than the epic. The good and evil personality has been the main conflict for both stories. However, Grendel in Gardner’s novel is confused how the universe goes but realized that there is some sort of pattern going on. Grendel is seeking to find the meaning of the life.
While Orwell was explaining that writers will gain an emotional attitude and might not be able to escape his emotions when writing, he said something very interesting. “It is his job, no doubt, to discipline his temperament and avoid getting stuck at some immature stage, in some perverse mood: but if he escapes from his early influences altogether; he will have killed his impulse to write.” This sentence shows metaphor and cumulative sentences altogether. It shows metaphor because he is talking about getting stuck at a specific stage but he is no literally talking about getting stuck somewhere, physically. Cumulative sentence is also shown here because he is combining both sentences together to prove a point by using a
Stories often possess foreshadowing. Authorsemploy foreshadowing either by briefly mentioning an important issue earlier in the story or by evoking certain emotions that make readers predict what will happen later on. Foreshadowing enables readers to notice the mood of the story, whether it is a fun story or a tragic one. By writing a story, an author becomes capable of delivering their thoughts to readers, and foreshadowing is one of the best tools that authors can use to implant dramatic effects in the story. However, it is not always easy to find what the foreshadowing are, and what their effects are.
The Book Thief was one of my favorite books that I have read so far, the author, Markus Zusak used imagery and used foreshadowing to prepare the reader for more important events. The author switches from the first person and third person point of view and how it gave you different perspectives. In the book, there's a sad tone and some humor in the book as well. The author uses flashbacks to inform the reader of previous events.
Is the author trying to solve a current problem that is happening in the real world? . The ideas that the author trying to plant in our heads can be positive and it also can be negative, it depends in the way the reader read the
Sinclair really portrayed this book as more of a history story then a entertaining novel which made the book less exciting and more
However, writing 39C finally gave me some hope in writing. Unlike the former writing classes, 39C allows us to choose our own topic, do our own research, create complicate thesis and use supporting topic sentences. Also, the choice of source seems really importance in 39C. It requires us to do the annotated bibliography which is the first time I am asked to do such task. To look back
For instance, using the high road examples, though leaving something to the imagination of the reader can be an interesting tactic; if he had further developed just one of the many works or authors he listed, it would have provided a template for the reader to follow, giving that reader the chance to apply to the other works more concretely. The use of exemplification is advantageous, but it could have been more so if they had become fully fleshed out models. The lack of fuller interpretations of each example leaves room to question the
Is there a point behind what Plath is writing or is it just for fun, well in this paper this well be one of the topics covered and how Plath point of view on the mental system the last thing that will cover is how the mental health system if bad, and different or the same to the real world from the book. So Plath being the writer of this book The Bell Jar, along with many other book must have had some kind of meaning in that she is saying. you would have to assume Sylvia could be just writing this for fun though but, the subject of this book would be very hard to have fun reading. A Dime in the Rough What does it mean to be an American? Having freedom, being a patriot, your own way of life? Being an American is all of this and much more. America and the American Dream have been very controversial topics for the last hundred years, they are key elements that give people within and outside America the feeling of hope and positivity in their day to day lives. Elie Wiesel, a famed article writer and a survivor of the holocaust, is a perfect example of what a positive and hopeful view of America on the outside looks like.
Steinbeck describes three life stories, and how they turned out at the end of their lives. He shares a really interesting approach to view life. How people are regarded in these situations are by their ultimate life output: good or evil. It is not the quantity of mistakes that make a person better or worse, but how those mistakes were done, and if the person tried to improve or simply was satisfied with mediocrity.
