He’s a great father to his children showing the the truth will always push them forwards in life. Not only that he believe everyone in this world is a mockingbird who isn’t truly known till walked in their shoes. LAstly his pride in taking a stand for someone who only has hope in himself is beyond exceptional for anyone else. Finally remember to treat other the way you want to be treated and don’t just assume, become them for a minute
Pride; Is It a Good or a Bad Thing? Pride, it’s one thing people are always burrowing their minds into, it can control our daily life or fundamentally end up giving us great success. The definition of pride is the sense of personal dignity and values. I bet most of us don’t realize how much pride we have and, how much it influences our thoughts and decisions every second of every day. Some people have so much pride they would rather fail a class than ask for help or keep fighting for an obvious lost cause simply because they can’t give up.
He did indeed earn the treasure, but out of the goodness of his heart, Bilbo heroically gave up all of it and shared with the people in need (44). Not only was Bilbo generous, but also he was always determined to right. Bilbo always was sure to think through every decision he made to make sure he was doing the best for others and himself. He took into consideration the well being of others and not just what they thought about him (47). Bilbo showed his kindness not only by putting others first, but also through his loyalty.
Being of a higher class, they were also expected to constantly act in a posh, educated manor and never be belittled by those of lower classes. These insurmountable expectations left much for men to reach for, as not all could live up to it. Instead, they were forced to overcompensate. Such is the life of Tom Buchanan in The Great Gatsby: overcompensation. Throughout many aspects of his life it seemed that he felt like a failure, unsuited for his class, but nonetheless, he continued to strive towards the life he believed he should lead.
Bonzo is so angry with Ender because he punishes Ender and wants him to suffer But Ender rebounds stronger every time he is punished .He, in Bonzo’s mind , is stronger because no matter what he does Ender bounces right back. Bonzo finds Ender to be stronger than him and it hurts his pride. Because, he is a proud person and proud people don't like their pride or reputation to be hurt. He doesn't like that someone under him like Ender could be better at somethings than Bonzo. That's my reasoning behind why Bonzo is so angry with Ender.
Seeking Perfection Many people strive to be the best version of themselves they can be, putting every aspect of their life on hold in order to become as close to the idea of perfection as they can. Although, this idea cannot be reached because it is merely just a thought or obsession in order to succeed. Dr. Jekyll, Victor Frankenstein, and Prometheus all understand this concept very well. They constantly test every limit possible in order to try and achieve the safe haven of perfection and acceptance, going as far as to waste their entire being doing so. Obsession is an idea or thought that continually preoccupies or intrudes on a person’s mind.
For Macbeth, power is something that he craved and continued lusting after it. The more he had, the bigger his head became, the more power he desired, and eventually his reign came with a cost. He lost everything he valued, including his power, and everyone he loved because he only thought about himself. Power is something that is greater than us, while it can be used wisely and successfully if honed and guided in the proper manner. There needs to remain a humility, desire to serve those you have a power over, and a reverence to the One who gave you the power.
He also has a heart of gold and becomes remorseful when he verbally or physically attacks another. He knows when he does not respond appropriately but says he cannot always help his impulsiveness- sometimes using those exact words since those are words we use at school. If we can be of any assistance, please let me know. Colton is a wonderful boy with great potential. We just need to continue to direct him in the right way.
W feel when pride overcomes our life, we believe we’re always right and everyone is wrong, and it’s hard to keep relationships with people because no one wants to be with someone that thinks they know everything. When we have to much pride, then it disconnects us from everyone because they think they have to achieve greatness and everyone is getting in there way. Also, our pride can take over someone life as well, because we could be ashamed of them and we want to them to achieve greatness, like in the short story, “ The Scarlet Ibis” the older brother was gifted with a younger brother that was handicapped, and when Doodle tout himself to crawl then, the older brother was determined to teach him how to walk, because the older brother was ashamed to be related to a kid that was handicapped and he pushed Doodle to the point to where to couldn 't handle it anymore. In the article ‘’ Why Pride is Nothing to Be Proud Of” it says, “ Deignity can live inside us regardless of our successes and failures. We don’t have to prove anything to anything to anyone-- or even to ourselves.
He was more of a man that stoop up for what he believed was right and he was always determined to persist in good not only for himself, but for everyone else that was around him, irrespective of their age, gender or race. Atticus had the courage to stand up against the people of Maycomb and fight for the justice of an innocent man, this innocent man being someone from a different race and social group as him. He believed that he is not only doing it for the accused and himself, his courage had on the other hand helped him to build a legacy and developed a good example for his children Jill and Scout. He knew that if he leads a good example for his children, they would not have a problem doing the same someday when they
