While the parents are largely to blame for the sheer lack of morality their son has, Couch should have still been able to pick up on the concept of right and wrong from external sources, like school. Also, Couch was old enough to take responsibility for his actions and act on his own, rather than blindly doing what his parents tell him. It is inadmissible to make the claim that Couch could have honestly thought it was okay to drink and drive based on the fact that his parents allowed him to drink at age 13. Many parents are lax about alcohol with their children, but those same kids still know enough not to drink and drive, or steal even like his earlier crime. The judge’s decision is a poor one, even thought Couch still received 10 years of probation, it still isn’t enough.
Being neglected by his parents and exposed to Graham James would eventually drive Theo to abuse
The sermon “Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God” was written with many purposes. The main concept that Jonathan Edwards, the minister who wrote the sermon, wanted to get across is that God does not give any pity to those who do not believe in him and his gospel. He casts all of the sinners into the pits of hell and lets those who have been good live for eternity. This sermon was written after many reports of witchcraft came about in the New England colonies. These reports caused the Salem Witch Trials to occur and many people to become non-believers.

A Letter to the Editor Based on Response to Cedric Jennings' Education Journey The Pulitzer-winning story of Ron Suskind about Cedric Jennings, a son of the drug dealer and the Agriculture Department worker, has been a source of inspiration for many students who struggle to change their lives by getting prestigious education. Cedric has lived in Southeast Washington, and the school he has attended (Ballou High School) consists mostly of black teens connected with gangs and drugs: the circumstances are not friendly for an aspiring learner. One of the first words children learn to say is “daddy.” This is one of the earliest signs that fathers play extremely large and important roles in their children’s lives. Part of the father’s role that can make or break the relationship with his child is the expression of fatherly love. Reuben Land of Peace like a River receives a constant stream of affection from his dad Jeremiah. In fact, the righteous Jeremiah Land is a near-perfect example of pure, fatherly love and even more so an example of God’s love for His children.
