Peron’s childhood established the foundational principles in which she ruled her life. Born as Evita Duarte to unwed parents, Juana Ibaguren and Juan Duarte, she resided in the city of Junín, a part of the Buenos Aires province. A year after Peron’s conception, Juan deserted his family – five young and their mother – for his own wife and kids, as Juana was a mistress in her relationship. This circumstance left only one option for her family, they relocated to Los Toldos, a poor regional village of Las Pampas, and as a family, each cooked for ranchers to pay the rent of their one-room apartment. There are several stories as to why and how she left for the city. One rumor says she and her boyfriend at the time, a musician, sought for opportunity in Buenos Aires, however, the two separated shortly following their arrival. Whether or not the specifics of this story are accurate, as a result of some incident, Peron bleached her natural black hair to blonde, a defining style that lasted to the end of her life. A logical reason as to why she did this might be that she wanted to become a new person – a successful actress. She started acting in small bits and pieces of radio dramas, and after the progression through numerous companies and projects, Peron was simultaneously performing in radio, theatre, and cinemas. She was making a name for herself. Some projects she worked on were La Cabalgata del Circo (The Circus Parade), Los Jasmines del '80 (Jasmine ’80), and The Biographies of Illustrious Women –which was perhaps her favorite (CITE). Colonel Juan Peron held a festivity in order to relieve the effects of this incident and invited several prestigious celebrities to attend, which included Evita Duarte. During the celebration, the two became acquainted, and within the span of only one year, Evita Duarte married Juan Peron. There was …show more content…

Through the laborious experiences Peron had growing up, working vigorously to attain celebrity status in acting, and even on through her struggles of helping Colonel Peron into presidency, Peron had developed a deep feministic view. Shortly following President Peron’s getting into office, Peron initiated a campaign for women’s suffrage, as President Peron had promised the populace, and subsequently women were first legally able to vote in nineteen fifty-one. Furthermore, Peron made an effort to aid the poor financially and emotionally. To accomplish such a feat, she formed the Eva Peron Foundation. Heading the organization, Peron went out daily to give food, money, and jobs to the working class. Two examples of this are: she would drive a truck, loaded with nourishments and supplies, around the poorest sections of Buenos Aires and personally distributed food to the citizens, and she also took requests directly from the people in the foundation’s building, such as raising wages and providing homes to the homeless. Peron’s actions on both fronts yielded a more united Argentina. However, behind the scenes, she was not a stable individual. Any person who opposed her beliefs was imprisoned, and the money “donated” to her foundation was primarily through blackmailing, either the rich gave her
