2.5 CORE ASSUMPTIONS
The HBM are proposed to vary between individuals and predict engagement in health related behaviours, the model is based on the understanding that a person will take a health related action if the person:
1. Perceive that a given health condition as serious and are likely to engage in a behavior to prevent the health condition from an occurring, this is termed perceived severity.
2. Perceive that they are likely to develop a particular health problem and will engage in behaviours to reduce the risk of contracting such health conditions, this is termed perceived susceptibility.

3.8 PARTICIPANTS: Participant is 30 in number and they are all qualified nurses working with Julius Berger medical Services.
3.9 ETHICAL CONSIDERATION: The consent of the chief nursing officer of Julius Berger Medical Services was obtained as well as the consent of the participant. Confidentiality was maintained throughout the study.
3.10 DATA COLLECTION: The data were collected using questionnaire which was administered directly to the participant, they were approached individually as they are seen resuming or closing from duty. After brief explanation of the study, the questionnaire was given out about 30 in number and same collected back after they were filled by the participants.
3.11 DATA ANALYSIS: The data collected were analysed by manually imputing the number into Microsoft excel and result presented frequency table, pie and bar
