This story it was really tragic , many people wanted to a great king at their city. When you being a roman citizen it is very important to them because even the poor people they are poor to themselves , for example when you are from a country and you are proud that you are born in this country, the same thing the Roman citizens feel about it if you are poor or rich everyone is the same. William Shakespeare is the one who wrote the tragic story of Julius Caesar . Shakespeare was trying to explain us they story of Julius Caesar that everyone …show more content…
Such men are dangerous” on pg. 6, which meant by saying that Caesar is a great king but those who are ruling the city are very dangerous for the poor people. And another quote “ and keep us all in servile fearfulness” pg.3 that means that person in the city who are in servile they being afraid and having fear from the king of the city who is next to rule the city. Brutus who is a noble man wanted to serve his city and help his people. And one f the reasons he went against Caesar because, he loved his Roman Citizens. People are parading in the streets instead of working in their shops, Brutus is concerned how has friendship between Caesar and the people in Rome will affect the people in the city. And one of the quotes was “ Beware the ides of March” pg.4 it means be careful on that day march 15 that will be a bad and tragic day, for this story and for all the Roman citizens that are living in the city. Antony who is very lovely with the people in Rome. As a triumvirs who was Antony he liked a lot Caesar as a king and for the beloved for the people was really a great person liked his king, and for that reason the people wanted him to be the king the city of Rome. Also Cassius who is the most significant to perceive and being motivated from his character. It depends from the character some of them like Caesar but on the other side other people didn’t like Caesar, like Cassius who disliked Caesar, and he wanted to get together with Brutus to get over from Caesar and get rid of him, the getting together to achieve their goals, to get rid of Caesar , remove his power from the city is very serious
Julius Caesar Back Round On JC Born roughly around July 12 or 13th 100 BC in Rome and died March 15th 44 BC Politically adept/ Popular Leader of the Roman Republic Transformed Roman Empire by expanding its geographical reach and establishing an imperial system. Caesar joined the military to escape having to divorce his first wife Cornelia who's father was a political rival of the current dictator Sulla. JC returned to Rome after friends eventually convinced Sulla to allow him to return and after Sulla's passing began Caesar's in depth dive into Roman politics and prosecuting. Even after all Caesar did for his country a year after he returned to Rome and was claimed as dictator then hailed as Father of his Country he was savagely assassinated.
" This is telling everyone that if Caesar was to have gained that power that all of them would have probably been slaves because of the tyrant that Caesar would've been. It also lets everyone know what type of person Caesar really was. Brutus also stated "his glory not extenuated, where in he was worthy, nor his offences enforced, for which he suffered death." Which is stating how Brutus knew he had to kill Caesar and was at peace with it. Brutus's speech was seen by the crowd as really good and won some people over to his
By saying this he is saying that people will only remember the bad of Caesar, but not the good that he had in him. The people will begin to fear what will live on from Caesar's death. As the people are showing anger towards Brutus, Antony continues on with his speech saying, "When that the poor have cried, Caesar hath wept; Ambition should be made of sterner stuff. Yet Brutus says he was ambitious; and Brutus is an honorable man." He points out that Caesar constantly felt bad for those who were struggling in his country.
Brutus explained how Caesar was an ambitious person who with power can put rome itself in danger and how he could not stand their and do nothing because of his immense love to rome. Brutus
Take a journey back in time as we commemorate the 100th year anniversary of Julius Caesar's death and look back at the history of Rome and it's culture. Being one of the most well known civilizations around, Rome began around 700 BC and fell in 180 AD. This city-state was well-known for its successful battles, rulers, religion, education system, and way of life.
The Romans and Their Leaders The Romans were an ancient people that occupied Italy and the surrounding area around the Mediterranean Sea. Chronologically, the Romans were governed by a monarchy, republic, and finally an empire. During the fall of the Republic and the rise of the empire, the citizens that rose to power in Rome all possessed the same characteristic. Two men that held power during this time, Julius Caesar and Caesar Augustus(Octavian), possessed determination which allowed for them to be great military leaders. Julius Caesar was a marvelous general who conquered many nations during his reign as both consul and emperor, and he greatly expanded Rome’s territory.
Antony states, “When that the poor have cried, Caesar hath wept; / Ambition should be made of sterner stuff” (III.ii.88-89). Antony shows this to define the true good quality traits of how great of a leader Caesar was. In Brutus’s speech he claims that Caesar was too ambitious, however, Antony’s statement refutes Brutus’s point. Antony desperately but trying to maintain as if he unknowingly says it feels that the conspirators had wrongfully murdered a good leader and man. As the speech continues on the crowd begins to get more and angrier over the murder of Julius Caesar.
Julius Caesar was a politician, general, and dictator. He once said, “It is easier to find men who will volunteer to die than to find those who are willing to endure pain with patience.” He was an incredible speaker of the time and was very well liked by most citizens. He brought a lot of change to Rome and was a very strong leader. Julius Gaius Caesar was born in Rome Italy, in 100 B.C., on July 13th.
(III.ii.26-28) In this sense, it shows that Brutus cares about Caesar, but when it seems to be affecting the country he loves, he will take any measures to stop it. As one standing in the midst of the crowd, it would appear through logic that Brutus did not kill Caesar out of anything personal, but rather he was slain to prevent a dominating ruler from forming. On the other hand, Antony takes the very words that defended Brutus, and makes them his downfall. Antony brings the plebeians back to the time where," I thrice presented him a kingly crown,/which he did thrice refuse.
Although Caesar, as the upcoming ruler of Rome in Julius Caesar, should be portrayed as the ideal leader of the play, he actually has too arrogant of a character to be so. Therefore, Shakespeare places honor in Brutus and allows Brutus to have the role of the idealistic leader of the story. Although Shakespeare writes this play in a controversial time period during England’s political turmoil, he allows the audience to be able to choose the true ruler of loyalty to the crown or the honor of a noble man through the understanding of the two contrasting character
Brutus believes that Caesar will do more harm than good to the people, and reap benefits for himself. Brutus has already said this, but had said it in his own words, (II, i, 12-14). He has no clue if Caesar will use his power for the good and betterment for the people, or use it for his own needs and other
In “The Tragedy of Julius Caesar”, Caesar’s main flaw is his arrogance and ambition, which both led to his doom. His overconfidence and self-love blinded him of the sharp thorns growing from his sides which were masked with loyalty and care. Viciously assassinated by the closest people in his heart, Julius Caesar had been known for centuries as the blind conceited man. On the other hand, loyalty conflicted Brutus, who is argued to be the protagonist of the tragedy. Although he was loyal to Caesar, he was loyal to his nation too and thought that the death of Caesar would be for the best for the nation.
In this scene Caesar has been murdered by the conspirators including Brutus. Brutus is one of Caesar's good friends who is driven by honor; who thought Caesar’s ambition was going to be the end of Rome. Antony is a very loyal friend of Caesar’s who does not agree with the conspirators. Brutus and Antony are both smart well thought out characters. They desire to persuade the commoners to their side of the situation.
(III, I, 90-91). This is Brutus trying to comfort the people and get them to listen to what they had to say about murdering him. The conspirators feared tyranny and they were willing to do anything to be free of it. But, they wouldn’t know how the people would react so they were giving them a reason to a
Brutus Wants to murder Caesar but he is doubting himself. He compel up his inclination that it is prime he kiln Caesar after he learned the falsify learning. “The only way is to kill Caesar I have no personal reason to strike at him only the best interest of people. He wants to be crowned.”
