The myer-briggs assessment was fairly accurate and taught me many things I did not know about myself. I was very surprised to read how detailed each trait was described and how it fit my personality in real life. I could relate to many things mentioned about the people with ISFJ personalities. I learned that although I am an introvert, I can connect well with other people much better than other introverts. The type of friend I am considered to be is very loyal and although I may be closed off and protective in the beginning after I can trust you I can be a very trustworthy. I also read my personality type has no particular preference on who I am friends with and that I try to avoid conflict at all costs, which is something I can relate to.
The personality type that was indicated from my completion of the MBTI puzzle is introvert, sensing, feeling, and judging (ISFJ).
According to the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator/Jung's Typology Test results, I have a slight preference of Extraversion over Introversion at 9%, I have a slight preference of Intuition over Sensing at 16%, I have a moderate preference of Feeling over Thinking at 34%, and I have a moderate preference of Judging over Perceiving at 31%. I feel as though these results are very accurate. The only section that I don’t completely agree with would be the “Judging over Perceiving” aspect of the test.
How rewarding would it be to have the opportunity to get to experience a mother and father seeing their unborn child for the very first time? To get to be the person whom informs parents of the gender of their baby, which they have anxiously been waiting for. I don’t believe there could be a greater feeling in the world than being there and sharing that excitement that people anticipate about their entire lives. Getting to be a part of these moments is one of the main reasons why an OBGYN Ultrasound technician is my dream career.
The results of my Jun Typology Test revealed that I am type INFJ, with Introvert (16%), iNtuitive (41%), Feeling (16%), and Judging (34%), preferences. Some of the characteristics associated with type INFJ include, an unusual spectrum regarding the intensity of talents, I am a doer, an idealist, creative, maintains a strong perspective regarding humanitarianism, and a rare mix of practicality and perception. Although I am a giver, I find it necessary to disengage from the world at times, in order to replenish and protect myself from becoming overwhelmed. I am somewhat complex, while possessing an uncanny acumen to discern the motives of people, whether favorable or unfavorable. Also, I maintain strong writing skills and personal charisma.
Karl Lagerfeld once said, “Personality begins where comparison ends”. When trying to figure out who you are as a person and what your personality is like it is often tempting to compare your personality traits and states to those of the people around you. However, this is tends to do more to confuse than help when trying to figure out your own personality. Only by looking at yourself and the bigger picture your personality traits and states create that you can truly understand yourself and your personality. The two assessments taken before this assignment are designed to help with this process. The Personality-Style Assessment is designed to assess and explore the temperament of the person taking it and the Conflict Style/ Leadership Style
The results from the Keirsey Temperament Sorter shows that I am an ISTJ. The word ISTJ stands for introverted, sensing, thinking, judging. Those mean that one enjoys quiet time typically alone such as relaxing on the couch reading a book. One also pays attention to facts or details when completing something such as building a project. One typically tends to prioritize facts and uses reasoning, especially when they have past experience instead of exploring new ideas that are not proven. One prefers structure and order in their life and the things they do rather than having no guidance system in place at all.
There are many different aspects to consider when an individual is trying to see what career best suits them and who they are as a person. Some people are very strong and confident in who they are and what aspirations they want to see accomplished in their lives. Others are not so sure of themselves or have no direction in where they would like to see themselves after high school or college. In these extreme cases, one concept that people use that assist individuals in finding themselves and what they want to do with their life is by taking the Myers Briggs assessment. I took the Myers Briggs test and found it extremely interesting due to the personality traits that were given to me. I was given the traits ISFJ, which stands for introverted,
I took the Myers-Briggs Personality test and tested as an ENTJ. I felt that the this gave me an accurate rating and felt that the description it gave was accurate. I went and read the descriptions for all the other personality types to see if any of them were a better match. I found INTJ to be close but feel that ENTJ was definitely the best match.
After taking the Jung Typology test and looking over the Career Indicator I learned an immense amount of what all I am interested in and what I would be good at doing in life. My results that I received after taking the Jung Typology test was that I tend to be more of a guardian. Personally. I both agree and disagree with the results that I got back after taking the online test. Using the results that I received I will now look into different career paths that I have never thought about looking into before. The results that I got back from the Jung Typology test can and will help me with a large amount of questions that I currently have about my career choice.
The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) is an important look at the methods humans use in our interaction with our shared environments and how we relate differently to shared experiences (Cohen, D., Cohen M., Cross, H., 1981). Differences in how individuals relate to and understand our surroundings are displayed and sorted using scales for several fields. Extroversion and introversion are determined and assigned to this indicator using either E or I. A clear definition between sensing and intuition is also defined by the assignment of S or N. Also, thinking and feeling are compared and determined adding the letters of either T or F to the result. The last letter in ones conformed profile will include either J or P for judging compared to perception.
My confirmed profile is an ENFJ; this means that in business and school I am a very reliant and helpful individual. ENFJ possess a natural charm that can easily attract and befriend people. They are charismatic individuals and can be persuasive as well as motivational speakers. The extravert; meaning that they are able to speak freely and communicate well, As an ENFJ I tend to be more attracted to client facing roles or roles that allows me to be a first hand aid to clients. Such a position affords me great comfort and happiness when I realize the joy and gratitude of a client after a successful service delivery. I also tend to always be ready at hand to assist my colleagues and to always learn and be confident in my work position. For the lack of it cripples my ability to help. I tend to get very frustrated when I cannot
My responses on the MBTI indicated my type to be ESFJ. E is for extraversion, where I focus my attention.
My personality can be describe as Introverted since I am reserved, practical and quiet. When making a decision I prefer to analyse my surroundings, check the facts and concluded to practical solutions instead of making assumptions. When the decision is made I will gather the necessary information needed to achieve my goals and if working with others I expect them to grasp the situation immediately and take action. I have little to no tolerance for indecisiveness and assumptions in situations where there is a deadline because it is expected that persons hold their own. My obligations are my main priority even if personal matters have to suffer. I tend to lead or prefer to work alone in order to produce high quality results. My personality as it relates to my friendships and relationships are direct. I choose based on the logic of quality over quantity. That is, instead of having many
