Junior Honor Society Letter

It is a great honor to be nominated as a member of the National Honor Society. There are many reasons why I want to take part in NHS. One reason why I want to be in it is to continue to grow academically with people who have the same goals as me. I want to be encouraged, not discouraged by the people around me. If I get into NHS, it will give me a lot of opportunities to be a leader. Another reason why is I will get the opportunity to serve my local community; doing more service work will help me to be better as a person. Being in NHS will help build who I am as student. Over the course of my academic career, I have developed several positive traits that make make me a qualified candidate for National Junior Honors Society. My experience from being in a variety of school clubs and leadership positions has equipped me with the necessary character traits for an aspiring National Junior Honors Society member.

National Junior Honor Society is the start of everything. This group helps set me up for my years to come. Being in the NJHS it helps me get into the one in high school, which looks really good one college applications. Having national junior honor society for both middle school and high school would give me a better chance to get into a college I really want to get into.

“Yes, I have to be apart of this.” was my immediate thought when I opened the letter. I did a lot of research and asked a few people about what I would need to take part in this group. “The National Honor Society (NHS) is the nation 's premier organization established to recognize outstanding high school students. More than just an honor roll, NHS serves to recognize those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of scholarship, service, leadership, and character.” quoted from The National Honor Society website.

Recieveing this letter that I was inducted to be in the National Junior Honor Society made my heart beat faster than I’d ever keep track of, knowing that I was more of a gifted student. Every heart beat was building up my stimulation about this honor, telling me that I demonstrate scholarship, citizenship, character, leadership, and service. To know that I have all of those traits in me makes me feel more of a part of this society, and has made me begin to realize the considerable things that I’ve done. This oppertunity is great for me because I can expand my inner and outer school activities to show what great things I do in my time.

National Honor Society is a great opportunity for everyone including myself. It has standards such as scholarship, leadership, character, and service. To maintain the standards I already have most of the standards I am a smart student with a 4.0 GPA, I have great leadership and character. The only thing missing is service. I do, do service but not as much. I don’t have many opportunities to help out and volunteer. Maybe joining NJHS can help fulfill that opportunity.

The first reason why I should be in National Junior Honor Society is because of my leadership skills. The first example of my leadership skills are applied to my youth group in the Cecilton Parish. I am the treasurer and help with the Ideas for fundraising. We, as a group held a spaghetti dinner for the church and I managed the money and the setting. Pursuing this further, I actively show leadership in school. I am very active in the classroom environment. I love to lead the groups and help organize when and what needs to be done in a project. I also help the group stay on task and help them when they need it. One final example of my leadership, is seen in the after school

Every week I spend time at the Morristown Medical Center as a volunteer, where I am able to help keep things functioning in the hospital at the highest speed possible and hopefully brighten a few patients’ days. Also, I’ve enjoyed helping refereeing youth basketball games for the past two seasons and being able to talk with the kids. It is a great opportunity to give back to a program which gave me so much in the five years I played in it when I was younger. Furthermore, I am excited for even more opportunities to have an impact on my community which being a part of National Honor Society would aid in.

I am extremely honored to be eligible for this opportunity to apply for the National Honor Society. Becoming a member of the National Honor Society has been a goal I set for myself since I was a student in middle school. I have been greatly looking forward to this moment for a very long time. Overall, I have worked incredibly hard these last two years to display a positive character and obtain qualities such as leadership, responsibility, and scholarship. I strongly believe I will be a productive and reliable member of the National Honor Society at Harvard H. Ellis Technical High School.

Today I am deeply humbled to be recognized as a potential member of the National Honor Society. To me this means I have exemplified everything you look for in a student who goes above and beyond, not just in academics but in athletics, the community and at home as well. I have not taken this selection for granted, as I believe would be a great asset to the National Honor Society. I am hardworking, honest, reliable and quite charismatic too. I hold all the qualities required by the distinguished NHS like leadership, service, character and scholarship. Often time I see myself living by the quote “See the world not as it is, but as it should be” and I try to, to the best of ability everyday. Being in NHS would give me the chance to live out this quote wholeheartedly and inspire others to do the same.

It would be an honor to be among the exemplary students who represent the National Honor Society. The first time I heard about NHS was in the second semester of my freshman year. Ever since then I pushed myself to work hard. Thinking that by pushing myself harder to get that A in that one academically challenging class, putting on a smile every day, and getting better at time management while displaying character, scholarship, leadership, and service will help me to become an NHS student who represents the ideology of the club.

I will make sure to do my part by leading by example, serving my community and school, staying true to myself, and performing in school to the best of my ability. It would be an honor to be a part of such an extraordinary program in which I can better myself and my community. I am so thankful to the many teachers who have considered me as a candidate for the National Honor Society. As I aspire to become a member of this organization, I will make it my duty to be an active member in my community and will maintain my leadership, service, character, and scholarship

Being a candidate for the National Honor Society is a tremendous honor for me. Since I began high school, it has been a goal of mine to be a part of this amazing organization. Being involved in my school and community has always been important to me, and any chance I get to further my involvement is great. I believe that NHS is the perfect opportunity for me to serve others and help better our community. I understand that a member of NHS shows qualities of scholarship, leadership, service, and character. Throughout my life I have valued these qualities and shown them in many ways.

I've always taken joy in being a leader. Having the ability to help guide someone in the right direction intrigues me. That's why I would love to have a leadership position in National Junior Honors Society. I'm specifically interested in being the president, but if I don't get it, I would love to fill another position. I promise that if given the opportunity, I will be a responsible, honest, creative, committed, positive, and productive leader. I will also do my best to show good character, leadership, citizenship, service, and scholarship because I know that these qualities are very important for the National Junior Honors Society and that they are also very important to me.

National Junior Honors Society needs people who are hard working, and are ready to get the job done. I should be considered to be in National Junior Honors Society because I show scholarship and leadership, I have done many community service activities, and I show character and citizenship.
