The companies that chosen by our group is Toyota, Dell, and Harley Davidson. These company have a similar operation method which are using just-in-time (JIT) inventory management to complete their operations. The main concept of just-in-time inventory management is to remove the waste which involve the waste of time, stock, and inventory. Besides, it also a tactics that help the company to increase their efficiency and decrease the cost of carrying inventory. (Jack Willson, 22 July 2015) In addition, the goals of JIT is to increase return on investment through non-essential cost. (Rosemary Peavler, 21 June 2016) Manufacturer can produce and conveyance the product according to the requirements of the customers, this can help the manufacturer eliminate the excess inventory and let customers receive the product quickly. This system is also called by “supermarket method” because of this idea is borrow from the supermarket. The reason that using this system is because a supermarket lay in the product in time needed by customers and sell in any time. In Toyota Production System (TPS), “Kanban System” has played a decisive role by its distinct production control method. Some large-scale shop using product control card to enter product information, such as product’s name, code, and storage location. At Toyota, when a process refers to a preceding process to retrieve parts, it uses a Kanban to communicate which parts have been used. “Kanban System” called by Toyota Company since they used kanban symbol in their production
