INTRODUCTION According to Emy Lacorte; a researcher, Philippine education system has been undergoing series of changes, modifications and improvement in the curriculum areas. Changes within the educational system have been constantly implemented by the Department of Education to adopt the Philippine educational system to the needs and demands of globalization. This project is part of the Former President Simeon Benigno Aquino III’s Educational Reform Program. And it is believed that adding more years to basic education in the Philippines could help solve the problem of unemployment, keep up global standards and help Filipino students to have more time to choose the career that best suits their skills. The Philippines is the last country in Asia to implement the 12-year basic education program. Before the K to 12 Program, it was one of three countries in the world with a 10-year pre-university cycle (Angola and Djibouti are the other two).
For Filipino graduates to be able to compete globally and to adopt education standards that are recognized worldwide, the K to 12 Program was implemented through the Enhanced Basic Education Act of 2013. 1Dear Principal Molony, The donated money should be used in the eight grade math and reading classrooms because it will improve the focus and attention of the students. The students' self esteem will go up which will let them participate and do more to benefit the classrooms. They will also be less antsy because they will be focused on work, and not worrying about their uncomfortable seats. Here is what the seats are going to be like: there will be three couches, four to five bean bags, three wiggle seats, one recliner and two big tables the wiggle seats will go on the table chairs.

Children who grow up in poverty are faced with a series of issues which impact their education and social atmosphere. In both the school and home setting these children lack the proper resources which they need to succeed academically. Across the country, people have begun creating programs which aim to help children in poverty succeed, despite their socioeconomic status. These programs range from after-school reading, tutoring services, charter schools, and free summer programs. All of these programs provide children with extra academic help which they may not be receiving in school or at home.
The Civil war is one of the largest topics covered in 8th grade US history, with it’s change in America affecting us to this day. The importance of this unit may not be widely known, but the Civil war changed our country for the better. Being able to have a struggle to learn from to know how to make better decisions for our country’s future is essential to keep this country together. How we get taught about the Civil war can vary depending on the state and the books you read. I was given the chance to compare the Michigan State Curriculum on the Civil war and the book “Lincoln’s last Days” by Bill O’Reilly and Dwight Jon Zimmerman, and I must say the differences in the two are very apparent.

As I traveled through each grade of the Croton-Harmon High School, my personal and academic goals helped to me to really flourish. These goals may have varied from year to year because a freshman is a little different from a senior, but they basically had all the same concept: I wanted to strive in school to be the best all-around student I could be, constantly stay focused and immerse myself in the Croton community. By setting my expectations and goals very high, I could flourish academically and really work to my full potential. By following these goals in school I pushed myself very hard and tried to take classes that would challenge me as well as help me to flourish as a student.
This argument is full of hasty generalizations and lacks any solid logos support. All throughout the paragraph, the author generalizes seniors to all succumbing to senioritis when he/she does not do so throughout the whole essay. By generalizing this section, the author also generalizes the idea that all seniors are bored with their life when many are not. The author goes against this idea later in the essay, contradicting his/herself, in the fourth body paragraph by saying that teens who are involved in their school enjoy their senior year, yet another hasty generalization. High school is one of the greatest pivotal times in a human's life. It is where young adults are able to form their own opinions on the world, find activities they are passionate about, and learn to create fruitful relationships with their peers and teachers. However, I did not initially view high school as a period of time for growth and development. Instead, I saw it simply as another task to complete before I entered the real world. I did not take advantage of all the opportunities around me and I began to find school to be institutionalized or meaningless.
During my high school career, I see the step that I have taken has gotten me closer to my dreams and to my goals for the future by taking every chance I can get to maintain my GPA and continuously get better grades. High school seniors are faced with a wide variety of decisions as they approach graduation. They must decide whether or not they are going to attend college, begin working, or do something else. If they do decide to attend college, they also must decide whether to pursue a liberal arts education or a vocational one. A liberal arts education primarily includes a collection of different classes and topics students can choose to take and study. A vocational route will mainly educate students on their specific intended career.
