Do you think Pro Athletes are getting paid too much to just play a game, or do you think they are getting paid just enough? Surgeons are making under half of what pro athletes are making and one of the poorest places in the world are orphanages, so do you think that pro athletes should be paid over millions of dollars a year? I think that they should be paid a little less than what they are getting now.
As an avid humanitarian and high achieving honor student, I believe I qualify to receive the Heart O’ Texas Fair and Rodeo Scholarship. When I think of HOT, I think of the quintessential Texan: someone with a big heart, humble soul, and a great attitude. I am a proud Texan and investing in me for this scholarship will help me continue to spread the Texan way of life. One of my greatest passions is community service and philanthropy. In my sophomore year of high school, I began an organization dedicated to my passions. Through my organization, I have earned over 500 hours of community service and was awarded the Presidential Volunteer Service Bronze Medallion for my continued efforts in giving back to the community. During the summer, I assist
In the city of Chicago where there are two professional baseball teams, one being the on the north side of town, the Chicago Cubs, and the other being on the south side of town, The White Sox’s. There is only one park where people feel that they sitting in a historical shrine, that can take people back to the past, and is the greatest place to experience a baseball game. Both teams have a long history that has seen some of the all-time great players represented in the city of Chicago. Mr. Millar, a Spanish teacher at my high school and the advisor for our chapter of the National Honor Society, was a man whom I grew to respect and admire during my first year in NHS. Sure, he was a little eccentric, but his students loved him for his easy going method of teaching and his cross country runners cherished his countless amusing idiosyncrasies; consequently, I was shocked when I stumbled across a particular article on a local news website. “The Michigan State Police notified Howell Public Schools that Duane Millar, a Howell High School teacher and coach was arraigned in the 54B District Court in Ingham County.” My mind raced as I read on, “the charges were on one count of possession of child sexually abusive material... as well as one count of using a computer to commit a crime.”
When I look at Alpena Michigan I already see a warm and friendly community. People are nice to each other and helpful. The stores in Alpena are always giving to our community. There is never a dull moment in Alpena. There are people, stores, and the community who are always willing to help. What makes Alpena so warm and friendly though?
Louis Cardinals, they have a wide variety of promotional give-a-ways spread throughout there season. These promotional games include the give-a-way of such items as magnets, jerseys, bobblehead nights, as well as fireworks displays during the season. The one aspect that professional organizations such as the Cardinals share with minor league teams is that their promotional give-a-ways are sponsored by other businesses. The difference in the sponsors of professional teams is that there will be bigger businesses sponsoring the Cardinals, such as AT&T, Ford, or Budweiser. For the Chicago Cubs, they are under the same framework when it pertains to their promotional schedule. The Cubs host events where the organization will partner with businesses such as StubHub or Uber to give away hoodies, magnets, or other memorabilia. Where the differences lie between the Cubs and Cardinals are in the incentives programs they offer their season ticket holders. For the Cardinals, one aspect of their incentive program that sets them apart from the Cubs is their MVP card. According to their website, “the MVP card is a card given to all Season Ticket Holders for a 10% discount at Busch Stadium's Team Store located at the corner of 8th & Clark Street, and behind section 130. The 10% discount is also good at the Cardinals Authentic Team Store located in right-center field by Gate 6” (Season ticket department FAQ’s, n.d., p. 5). The Cardinals also give access to discounted tours of Busch Stadium. What the Cubs do that the Cardinals do not, is the ability for their season ticket holders to donate their tickets to a charitable organization, as well as early access to their Cubs convention, which is a meet-and-greet opportunity for fans to meet players and

The Colorado River Fair, as part of the network of California fairs, provides an enormous return on investment both economically and socially.
It has been a long running myth that the Greek community is the place to go if you want to buy friends. When I ask people why they did not rush a sorority the most common response is; “ I do not want to pay for my friends.”
October is breast cancer awareness month and the junior varsity cheer coach, Teresa Darden, is sponsoring the JV cheer team with their event.
In this nonprofit organization, I volunteer at different events around the Greater Kansas City area. I gained more than 15 hours of service work. I helped organize school dances, pep rallies, and took part in Global Youth Service Day. I attend seminars during the school year to learn more about business etiquette and career development. I support the basketball and football teams by attending their games and selling school products to fundraise. I help fundraise for 'Grad Night' and our senior class gift. I also help decide and organize our senior graduation. The Gateway High Steppers is a drill team. I was able to dance in the 'Circle City Classics' parade in Indiana. I helped set up the football equipment and gave water to the players on
