Pope John Paul II once said, “Catholic education is above all a question of communicating Christ, of helping to form Christ in the lives of others.” Growing up, I was able to experience this formation first hand while attending St. Dominic Catholic School in Garden City. It was in this school that I not only received an academic education but also was provided values and spiritual guidance that remain with me today. I believe Catholic education provides students a path for future successes in more than just the classroom. It is this belief that has lead me to inquiring about the Advancement Coordinator position open with Manhattan Catholic Schools.
Currently, I am a senior at Kansas State University, studying Journalism and Mass Communications,

This past summer, I had the opportunity to intern with Kansas Tourism’s communications department. This experience allowed me to practice communication on a governmental, local and national level as an ambassador of the state.
My role as Vice President of Alumnae Relations for Sigma Kappa Sorority gave me event-planning and fundraising experience on both the large and small scales. An example of an event I planned was the chapter’s 25th anniversary celebration. This celebration was a combination of three events over a two-day period, in which around 200 people attended. During this event part of my job was to encourage and facilitate donations for the chapter house’s upcoming addition. This was achieved through a silent auction at the event, as well as promoted through mailings.
Through the other organizations I was involved during my time in college I gained experience in social media management, volunteer coordinating, report writing, database updating and budgeting. Being able to support the organizations I am passionate about through utilizing my education and skills, always leads to the most fruitful
I am interest in working abroad with an organization that responds to basic needs and encourages peace. My curiosity in these particular fields of study grew stronger when I joined international club at my high school and continued to grow through a cultural experience I had when I spent a month traveling around Europe. Although I have always had some root in pacifism, as a Mennonite, I have recently connected to this idea and have found this world view increasingly compelling. Classes like “World History II” and “Restorative Justice: Theory and Practice,” here at Bluffton, continue to inspire and confirm my desire to work in a field focusing on issues of peace, justice, and development. Bluffton University has many classes that can help me
As I strive to achieve great academic success and leadership at Montana State University, I hope that my previous experiences will catalyze this process. Using my interests in academics, participation in extracurricular activities, and my own strengths, I hope to become a strong leader. I know I can achieve being both a scholar and an example for other students by utilizing my previous experiences. When I start my journey at Montana State, I expect to find students with common academic interests as myself. My goal is to connect with these students, who appreciate education in a similar way I do, in order to help each other understand topics or lessons that we will learn.
Within hundreds of service hours, I have lost absolutely nothing and gained knowledge, experience, relationships, and so much more. One year has passed since I became Executive Assistant of Division 66. I have worked under our lieutenant governor and spectated our incoming lieutenant governor’s induction. I want to be in the crowd at the 68th Annual District Convention, cheering them on wholeheartedly -- not only as a member of the Divisional Board,
Initiating and advocating change for students and the community without the expectation of being recognized is what has made me an HBCU All-Star. The moment I came to Nashville to attend the Illustrious Tennessee State University, I vowed to be an advocate for change and lead on and off campus. Countless hours and many sacrifices were made to ensure that my scholarship exemplified academic excellence. Extensive strategic planning and professional development was completed to ensure that my leadership was effective for my student body, local community, and the HBCU community at large. Humble and willing service to my community is what I’ve executed through my civic engagement in political and community affairs.
The minute I came across the announcement for the NSF REU site on Facebook, I knew immediately that I had chosen the correct major at Florida State University. Like many transfer students, and a distance one at that, I was limited by my selection during the transfer process and decided on Interdisciplinary Social Science with concentrations in Sociology and Geography. The description of the research project on the Citizen Science GIS website put my decision to study ISS into clear perspective when I had the lightbulb moment of why; because I am passionate about people, places, and stories, and that the research tracks are something that would be just as useful in the coastal community of Sarasota where I live. Truth be told, I was not always this passionate about the coast.
We planned events, raised money for charities, completed innumerable community service hours, and built a respect for our organization in the
First, I believe by obtaining my Master in Theology from Liberty University it has helped me develop a stronger and deeper understanding of God’s word. My studies at Liberty have set me up for success in the Doctorate Program at Liberty. Liberty seminary staff has very knowledge staff and motivates their students to excel in their studies and gain a full understanding God’s word. The instructors at the Rawley’s Seminary school has a great depth of knowledge and wants the seminary students to gain a deeper understanding of God’s word to be able to minster to other people around the world. We need strong Christian based teachers to educate not only the Churches, but the entire world on why we need to believe in our living God.
At Indiana University Bloomington I plan to major in Environmental Studies. I hope to potentially further this degree by applying it to a Pre-Law program. Growing up on a farm, I have been instilled with the idea that the environment is important and that we must take care of it. As a now young adult I continue to hold this mindset and want to implement it into my everyday life and career. Indiana University offers many opportunities for me to pursue this field of study and enjoy it in the process.
Leadership in the Community The nine organizations I worked with were all welcoming and excited for the event and they are excited for future opportunities to work with Washburn. This is where I saw service leadership which is one of the main leadership styles I retained through LE100 - LE300. Many of these people are volunteers or took the time that they are typically not working to help run this event and meet with me before the event to plan and see what they do for their organization.
When I think of my community I think of Bakersfield: a city afflicted with low literacy rates, high dropout rates, and an ongoing list of detrimental statistics. A specific issue that I wanted to see addressed in my community was the lack of hands-on opportunities for the youth in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) associated fields. With STEM subjects dictating curriculum in schools and in the job market, the youth in Bakersfield should have an outlet in the community where they can begin potential research projects or just have a place to get more information for future career paths and goals. I wanted to provide a voice for the youth community in Bakersfield.
1. Please explain any extenuating circumstance which you feel supports a different admission decision. Include any new and compelling information not previously disclosed in your application. I have continued to achieve academic excellence in the classroom, earning four A’s and three B’s in the full International Baccalaureate Program (my school sent my updated transcript). I recently finished working on my extended essay in history and elow is the abstract of the paper.
It is startling how much one’s approach changes as life progresses. A twenty-something person has the impatience, vigor, and unfettered expectations that someone who has over fifty years of experience on this planet may not have. I am the latter. I still have the vigor. The impatience and unfettered expectations are tempered.
After thoughtful reflection upon the aspects of Catholic education that attract me to the ministry of elementary school principal, as well as being a life-long practicing Catholic, four qualities stand out most: • The Catholic viewpoint of education has always paid particular attention to the quality of interpersonal relations in the school community, especially those between teachers and students. This ensures that we regard the student as an individual whose academic growth is harmonized with spiritual, religious, emotional, and social growth. Faith-filled contact between teachers and students is a hallmark of the Catholic school. • Catholic schools infuse their environment with joy in the sacramental. Therefore, they express physically
Statement Of Purpose for studies at Confederation College, Canada Program: Film Production To, The Visa Officer This letter is written to support my application for obtaining a student visa for Canada. I have attached all of my mark sheets, degree certificates, passport, IELTS score card and other relevant documents.
“Without the element of enjoyment, it is not worth trying to excel at anything.” the aphorism by Magnus Carlsen always resonates with me. I am always seeking opportunities to strengthen my capability. Seeing improvements as well as overcoming challenges have always given me a sense of satisfaction. This has pushed me to achieve anything I am eager for, especially while pursuing a research career stepwise to decipher the enigma of molecular mechanism and its modulation for better understanding and effectively targeting cancer.
