Duke Kahanamoku was an Olympic surfer from Hawaii, he was born August 24, 1890 in the Kalia District of Honolulu. Kahanamoku introduced surfing to the world after it almost died out with other local Hawaiian traditions in the nineteenth century. Christian missionaries later had the local Hawaiians believe that surfing was uncivilized and tried to ban the sport. Researchers and scientists have constructed extensive research on dinosaur’s extinction. Speculation instead of real evidence seems common in most theories about the dinosaurs’ extinction. However, Jay Gould’s essay “Sex, Drugs, and the Extinction of Dinosaurs” is the complete opposite of speculation over evidence. Rather, Gould uses the mix of persuasive techniques, such as rhetorical questions, logos, along with profound evidence to not only disapprove of other theories but convince readers of his place on the dinosaur’s extinction.

Bonobo is an African ape closely related to the chimpanzee. Bonobos are also known as pygmy chimpanzee or known by their scientific name Pan Paniscus (Bonobos, n.d), Bonobos are considered primates, and primates are all equally and well adapted to their environments. Think of advanced as meaning "specialized". So some primates have more specializations than others. Bonobos live in an area of the African rain forest in Zaire. This is located in central Africa and it is approximately 1.5 square million miles. It is the world’s second largest rainforest (Africa facts, n.d.). When Hatshepsut’s father died, in 1493 BC, the throne was passed down to her half brother Thutmose II. In Egypt it wasn’t odd for royalty to marry their family members or siblings. Thutmose II and Hatshepsut ended up having a daughter named Neferure, but the male heir was an infant that a concubine named Isis. A concubine is pretty much like a mistress.
