Katie’s and I’s business will be in the town of Parachute. We would like to open a bakery because no one else in the town of Parachute owns one. The closest bakery is 1 hour away from Parachute. We would like to sell cakes, cookies, cupcakes, donuts, pies, bread, and more. Our purpose is to add a spark of hope to our town. We will be in management, at first, and then we will turn over little sections of the business at a time to someone else that has worked there for a few years. We would like to have a very high-quality bakery. To accomplish that we need good quality employees. The employees will be treated as family and will not do what Katie and I have not done ourselves. The employees need to have a little bit of experience about how to use bakery equipment and work ethic the do their absolute best to learn. Also, we want someone that will respect us. Having parties would allow the residents of Parachute and Battlement Mesa to recognize us and realize that we are there. Catering would give us the opportunity to expand our business by reaching out to other towns. Also, catering is absolutely mandatory for us to have our business succeed. Making friends might not seem like a lot, but would you rather go to a shop that your friend works at or to a store you don’t know who works there? Our business advertising will be able to attract the community to our bakery and we will be able to contribute to the society. The public should purchase our product because everything is freshly made on a weekly basis. I started off as a host and worked my way up to shift and catering manager by 18. Throughout my years at the company, I’ve noticed we hardly advertise the restaurant or its food. Being a rather small franchise, we pride ourselves on knowing the community before knowing the nation. As a company we do have a public website, events with the universities near by, and even host professional catering events. However, we lack a commercial that speaks to the community as well as the nation.
