One of the beautiful and a commendable feature of the Khasi people is the way they have preserved the traditional and old forests since the ancient time. One of such anciently preserved forests in the Khasi Hills is Mawphlang Sacred Forest. It provides an amazing scene of the various life forms.

However, it has a bone chilling tale of a Khasi woman who jumps off the edge after eating a meal which her husband prepared, who was supposedly her infant daughter. It’s said that on silent, dark nights, one can still hear the screams of the Khasi women. Apart from that, it being the fifth largest waterfall in India, makes it one of the must visit places. The tragic tale just adds to the mystery that shrouds it.

Edward Koiki Mabo (Eddie) is a well-known Australian Indigenous person, who throughout his lifetime was committed to obtaining justice for Indigenous Australians. His greatest achievement was his stand against racial discrimination and his fight for Australian laws to recognise the traditional land rights of his family and the Meriam People of Murray Island. As a result, the doctrine of terra nullius, that claimed Australia was a land without owners, was overturned, changing Australian law forever, and the Native Title Act was introduced, which legally recognised the traditional land rights of Indigenous Australians. Waikanaloa Wet Cave is located on the north side of Kauai directly off of Highway 560. There has been some debate that the name of this cave was erroneously switched with the wet cave farther off the road called Waikapala’e. There is also a nearby dry cave called Maniniholo. Hawaiians believe that the fire goddess, Pele, gifted these caves to her lover but she later abandoned them when they became filled with water. There is parking conveniently located next to the Waikanaloa Wet Cave’s entrance.

The mountain they chose to put the capitol in is one of the most stable slopes they have in their midst, even though it still moves and causes small amounts of damage here and there. They chose to put it here because they wished to preserve their state capitol building for as long as possible. The building has a very small town that is lower down the slope from where it is placed. This town in called Moise, from the Native American word for crawling mountain. A famous and notorious place for Night Marchers sightings on the leeward side of Oahu, is Kaena point. Located near the end of Makaha, Ka’ena Point is believed to be the place where all the spirits of Hawaii jump off the leaping rock into the next dimension. Hawaiian historian, Lopaka Kapanui, is a well known supernatural tour guide of Hawaii. Showing haunted places, and telling his own stories he experienced, he once took a group of tourist out to Ka 'ena Point to talk about the Night Marchers, and the respect to show them in an encounter with one. During his tour down Ka’ena Point, Lopaka didn 't take notice that the night he was carrying out his tour on Night Marchers, was the night of no moon.
Some people believe that changes can be good, but others are impacted every moment changes are taken place. The city of Minneapolis represents diversity in communities, weather, buildings, and streets. In the book, “The Hiawatha” by David Treuer, introduces the changes in Minneapolis and the impact on a Native American family and others in the community. The Mongol Dynasty expanded across Asia, and through this they covered the province of Tibet when the empire receded, Tibet was still a part of China. Through the progression of history there has been a constant struggle between the two nations. Tibet is one of the richest nations in the world in terms of its resources and China on the other is struggling severely because their ever-expanding population and the decline in resources such as water and minerals.
