Uniforms help students to prepare for when they leave school and may have to dress smartly or wear a uniform in their future jobs, they gain responsibility to dress smartly, and dress appropriately. It brings so many benefits for so many reasons. Parents don't even have to spend so much money in clothing for their students. If students wear non school uniforms to school, their clothing gets dirty, and over used, when students go out after school, they won't have clean clothes to go out with. With uniforms in hand, after school clothes won't be wasted, school uniforms will be only used in school.
School Uniforms Are The Way To Go School uniforms are essential towards a school’s success. There are many benefits to having uniforms, yet many would still argue that uniforms hinder students’ abilities to express themselves, but if uniforms are strictly enforced, students will be able to focus more in school, be less likely to indulge in gang violence, and help lower income families save money on clothes. Background The way a person dresses is how someone is first seen and then judged. A test was made to see how people can change their judgement on a person just based off of their clothes, a group of men and women were assigned to give judgements on men and women who had Tailored suits and people who had suits you would buy
Education World says, “as the year goes on, more students are testing the rules by wearing jeans or other banned items.” If teachers aren’t strict about the dress code students can get by without trouble. Who is going to catch everyone breaking the dress code anyways and what are you going to do when you do catch them? Some schools send them home to change but then they are either going to stay home or come back and miss school. Others order a detention but is that really going to keep all students from breaking the dress code? If they love their off the shoulder shirt so much they might just suffer with a detention every time they want to wear it.
School uniforms help because if everyone is wearing the same clothing and they all look the same, you won’t be concentrating on what your friend is wearing, but you will be actually listening to what the teacher has to say. In the book School Dress Codes: A Pro/Con Issue it says, “If you are looking at a guy with a purple mohawk and six earrings you probably aren't concentrating on your teachers as much as you should be.” Page 20. Those are some of the reasons why I think school uniforms help you concentrate more in school because as I said if someone is wearing something crazy in front of you it is going to be really hard to concentrate during class. Instead when everyone is wearing the same thing you will be ready to learn in class without any distractions from what other people are wearing. People also think that it makes school a lot safer.
Dress codes are an enormous part of a high schooler’s everyday life, with over half of K-12 schools having some type of dress code (“Should Schools Have Dress Codes” 1). Even though these schools vary in the strictness of their dress code from no rips in jeans to standardize uniforms, the driving force is the same. Many adults believe that students need to learn how to dress appropriately, and that introducing and maintaining dress codes will stop distractions and greatly reduce bullying (“Should Schools Have Dress Codes” 1). However, in this increasingly uniform world, students should be able to express their uniqueness in any way that they can. Dress code rules teach students that their individuality is not important in addition to discouraging creativity.
For example, having a dress code and wearing uniforms should be allowed in school, because the school won’t have trouble with any clothes that might not be appropriate and wearing uniforms make the school look way more organized than not having a uniform. They also won’t have any trouble with any attitude that might not be appropriate for school. Many people think the opposite. Since many people think dress codes and uniforms are bad we shouldn’t have them in schools. People should have different opinions and this is mine and many of the communities opinion.
Imagine how delighted parents would feel if they reduced their back-to-school spending by hundreds upon hundreds of dollars as a result of not investing in designer clothes for their children to wear to school. Envision a student roaming down the congested hallway at school not having to fret about someone teasing them because of their outfit. Picture a school that is safe, content, and unified. With school uniforms, all of this is viable. First of all, uniforms save parents heaps of money.
So, in conclusion these are two good reasons why some people are against school uniforms. My first rebuttal to the first argument that people against school uniforms (which the argument would be “it takes away freedom of expression “) is again, kids can still accessorize with certain things when they must wear uniforms. The Administrators at schools aren’t requiring uniforms to take away kid’s freedom of expression they are there because kids feel more comfortable knowing that they are all wearing the exact same thing so that there will be less bullying or that the more school spirit that the kids bring to school each day that they come to school. There are so many ways that kids can express
As a result, school uniforms allow college students have a less stress and have a more time for a morning routine. Finally, school uniform is important parts of the school. It r is a symbol of a school and it represented the spirit school. University should apply the dress code policy because there are many benefits of wearing a school uniform. It restricts the student's rights to overexpression themselves in school, wipes out the defined line of the social class, decreasing the bullying cases, saved time and cost.
