Kindle Fire runs with Google’s Android operating system called OS and is one of the Amazon’s Kindle Product Line. Kindle Fire was released to consumers in November 2011. Kindle Fire brings brilliantly Amazon web services, Prime, Kindle, instant video streaming and the app store together in a one product. Amazon app market offers a lot of apps and games available for free download and purchase for Kindle Fire. Amazon makes money when consumers use Kindle Fire not on the initial sale. Amazon should target higher education with the Kindle Fire because the device not only allows consumer read books but also let watch movies, play music, view photos and download apps, all for an affordable cost. The higher education industry has become an attractive target market for Amazon’s Kindle Fire as hard cover books are transitioning to digital books after already serving the education market for years through textbook business. Students usually have low income or not income at all while studying which makes Kindle Fire perfect product for consumers who want to buy a tablet that has capability to do a lot but doesn’t cost a fortune. Reduced-price e-textbooks are exciting for student who are price sensitive and have used to pay a lot of money per semester for text books. New devices in market and the fact that students consume plenty of media are reforming the way students learn and teachers teach. Because most of the students already buy or rent text books
