As young shepherd boy and musician, David was anointed as the next king of Israel by Samuel in a small, informal ceremony in the presence of his father and older brothers. David did not fit the description of typical kings, having the appearance or stature of such a regal position. Nevertheless, 1 Samuel 16:13 says “the Spirit of the Lord came powerfully upon David.” David’s first interaction with King Saul was to use his music to soothe the king’s evil spirit, but later became the focus of his jealous rage after defeating the Philistine champion Goliath with the help of the Lord Almighty (1 Sam. 17:45) and his sling and stone (1 Sam 17:50). King Saul’s rage grew even more, causing David to become a fugitive, running from a very angry king
In law, criminal profiling is used to determine and identify likely suspects and analyze their patterns to predict future offenses or victims. Profiling is one of the important tools used by the government to help in curbing the spread of criminal activities in a region. One of the most popular cases in the history that used this tool is the David Richard (son of Sam) case. David Richard is an American serial killer convicted of a series of shooting attacks in New York. Son of Sam as he is popularly known killed six victims and wounded seven others in the summer of 1977.
Richard J. Gelles was the director of the Family Violence Research Program at the University of Rhode Island. In his research, Gelles found that in many cases Social Workers as well as other professionals fail to look at the entire picture in terms of family intervention. According to Gelles, in the case of David, preexisting family issues were overlooked which should have played a major role in determining the suitability of David’s home. In his book, Gelles addresses several issues that state families should be maintained and that children are better off with their parents than in a custody system. “The Book of David,” is a nonfiction story about the short life of David Edward.
According to the Declaration of Independence, King George III was responsible for the American rebellion against the British Empire. The colonists listed 27 abuses committed by the king in the document. These repeated maltreatments established a tyrannical government in North America, which eventually led to the colonist’s revolt. The first 12 abuses established King George III’s authority as despotic instead of allowing a representative government for the colonists. For example: abuses 8 and 9 explains how King George III would further tighten his control through the judiciary.

Israel asks God to give them a king so they can be like the other nations (1 Sam. 8:5, 19-20). So God uses Samuel to appoint Saul, and then David, as the first kings over His people. Saul is a failure as a king, but David serves God as a faithful king, defeating Israel’s neighbors, enforcing God’s law, and moving God’s residence to
The psalmist makes us understand that victories are realised through the help of God when we pray and not by our resources or abilities. We see throughout 1 Chronicles the qualities of the impressive army King David had to go to battle with but he didn’t win because of them. King David didn’t win the battles because of his superior wisdom or tactics or because his enemies were weak or stupid. Victory only came due to him taking territories in the place of praise, worship, prayer and intersession; God in answer to his cry granted him victory always.

A new life Solomon is a Haitian that had lived at the poorest American country for almost all his live as well as nearly ten million other citizens. Besides all Haitian problems and its secular political instability, he was proud to have been born in the first American country to abolish slavery, freedom that was not grant by the dominant elite but reached with struggle, sweat and blood by his ancestors.
