Through Martial Law teens will know how to discipline their selves. A. Instead of staying in the clubs up all night they will go home early and stay on their houses. B. There will be less early pregnancy to the teens. II. Through Martial Law there would be less street accidents happening. A. No more people will go jaywalking because of afraid to get caught. B. Less car accidents at night due to the curfews. III. Martial Law can stop the crimes instead of making it worse. A. So many murderers haven’t got caught and leaving the victim unjustified. B. So many drug producers and users don’t get caught. IV. Martial Law will help to cease human trafficking. A. An undetermined number of children are kidnapped and forced into exploitative labor operations. B. Filipino women are kidnapped and got involved in prostitution.. V. The reason for this is because it granted slaves their freedom since January 1, 1862. This Proclamation benefited the North due to the fact that all slaves that were freed were able to join the Union to help fight. The Civil War is identified as the first modern war in American history; this war was historic in many different aspects. No war in previous history had two armies of such great magnitude confront each other on the same battle field, armed with deadly and more accurate weapons. Furthermore, the casualties in this war were immense in comparison to anything our country had experienced as both fighting sides were made up of Americans. Lastly, politics played a large part in this war; political leaders had the difficult task of "[mobilizing] economic resources" and continually motivate society to fight.
A shift is happening in America. The pendulum is swinging from the ideals of get tough and mass incarceration. The swing has both positive and negative affects on the prison system. On the plus side, prison populations are decreasing. By shifting away from incarcerating any who break the law, there are fewer drug dealers and fewer violent offenders in the system.
America is a free society, but the result of that is some people are unhappy with the laws put in place to ensure said free society. When that does happen, those people tend to resist the laws to show their discontent to the government. They can either violently resist, which is illegal and penalties are high, or they can peacefully resist. Peaceful resistance, or civil disobedience is quite popular and has proven to be successful. It is also legal and as long as you don't break any laws in the process, cannot be stopped without a valid reason.
The second amendment states that people have a right to bear arms under a well-regulated militia. This amendment was added to the Bill of Rights because the Americans had just finished fighting The American Revolution with the British government for independence-- Gun control by the British was one of the catalysts of this war. With the revolution fresh in mind, the Americans had registered that there was a need to unite and form a union; however, some Americans felt that a union could result in something similar to the tyranny that the British had imposed on them.
