Kingsman: The Secret Service Kingsman is a movie about a secret society that has been around for a long time. The Kingsman are considered gentlemen. They dress up in fancy suits, which are bullet proof and have weapons that are not visible to a normal person. The gentlemen are proper, but lethal. To get in the secret society you have to be chosen by one of Kingsman and go through a training that sometimes can lead to death. At the beginning of the movie one of the Kingsman sacrificed himself to save one of his colleagues. That Kingsman had a son, Gary “Eggsy” Unwin, played by Taron Eggerton. Eggsy, a teenager now, grew up without a father and lives with his mom and stepdad, which he does not get along with. Eggsy, one of the main characters …show more content…
Valentine is a wealthy man obsessed with his own power. He wanted to take over the world to help the planet. Valentine had given out free chips or sim cards for cell phones to give to everyone around the world to have. These chips were meant to control anger in people, which the chips themselves, are controlled by a special machine that is linked to a satellite in space which Valentine has control of. Eggsy, while all of this is going on is still going through training with the Kingsman. He made it with high scores until him and one of his opponents, as a test, had to shoot their loyal dogs. He couldn’t do it so he was kicked out of the Kingsman. Harry, Eggsy’s mentor, was very disappointed, but never gave up on him, until Harry was affected by one of the chips and went crazy. He killed a lot of people in a church, and right after he, himself got killed by Valentine while Eggsy watched on camera. Eggsy than went back to the Kingsman to help them save the world from Valentine. Eggsy succeeded in saving the world by killing Valentine and all his allies. Everything went back to normal. What I got from this movie was that nowadays there is always someone trying to control the people. Like what is going on with Donald Trump at the moment. A rich man who is trying to take control of the world, but that is another
Throughout history, we have seen many people thinking they can take over on their own, and rule and conquer the world. We have seen it in people, leaders, and much more. You have guys like Hitler, Osama Bin Laden, Stalin, Paul Castellano, John Gotti with many more. They tried to manipulate and conquer but failed because they haven't realized that to rule you need someone else, like Jordan and Pippen, Brady has Belichick and Jay Z had Beyonce. This is also why, you see those people got killed or killed themselves in an attempt to escape reality.
Soon, a downfall of their society had come to play when Jack had separated with his group of boys from Ralph and his group. Instead of coming up with a plan to get off the island together as a group, the group itself divided and fought amongst each other leading to nothing but despair, as Piggy was killed during it all. The little spark of hope that they had was now ruined, with no way to build back up again to a decent society where rules were
For example, Hitler. This man came into power for Germany and totally changed the face of this Earth. All he wanted was total power; over everyone, it did not matter who you were. He murdered Jews, African-Americans, the crippled, and many other innocent people, and all for what? So he can be in charge and everything can be his way.
The boys killed a mama pig horrifically and offered it to the Lord of the Flies. Then Simon died by being stabbed and beaten to death. At the end the boys hunted Ralph and were planning to kill him, until the officer came to the rescue. The schoolboys have lost their innocence and nothing will ever be the
Whilst Ralph tries to keep his group civilized the savagery from the boys breaks through ending in a climax where all hell breaks loose on the island. Throughout the
This is the downfall of leaders in many works of literature, including Harrison Bergeron and The Lord of the Flies. If given power, individuals obsessed with achieving their ideals will revert to an aggressive and uncompromising leadership style unless there is some form of a rival to keep them in check. Harrison Bergeron’s titular character experienced oppression first-hand and sought to exert complete power over a society that tried to make him powerless. Determined for change, Harrison stormed a TV station, the “ballerinas, technicians, musicians, and announcers [inside] cowered on their knees before him, expecting to die” (Vonnegut 4). A fear of individual recognition kept his society running, yet in his desire to remove this fear Harrison establishes his own and becomes a veritable enemy to peace.
Therefore, he would do anything in order to pretend to have more money
As a case in point, in the Crucible a character in power, Thomas Putnam manipulated the Salem Witch Trials in such a way that allowed him to gain more land. In another scene, Abigail breaks into her uncle’s lockbox and purloins his funds. Why do people crave money to the point of stealing it? Could it be that power is often associated with affluence? To put it in perspective, it certainly is not the people who are starving on the streets with no food to eat have power in society, in fact they are looked down on.
This is the first real thing that he has to face. He goes into the school the children that are sick and one of them dies. He and his team have to go to the morgue to take the kids. On their way theregoing inside they have to battle insurgents. They go in and one of the rebels attacks Marla so birdy puts him down and they take the children inside.
The idea of a farm boy becoming the true king was so repulsive to some nobles that they refused to acknowledge that Arthur was successful in pulling out a sword, forcing him remove the sword multiple times, until the common people demanded that Arthur has proven his worth and that he should be crowned king. Even after being crowned king, he was engaged in the Eleven Kings War, where eleven nobles claiming to be the true kings challenged Arthur to the throne. Arthur successfully, put down each rebellion and stood tall as the people’s new king (Source B3). Through time King Arthur became an astounding, relished leader with a true mind for the people. During his time as king, he inspired the idea of the Round Table, debatably King Arthur’s most
There are many things a king needs to be great. A king needs to be well-liked by his subjects to prevent being overthrown. Kings also need confidence, and substantial knowledge of the land and of the people he rules. Being well-liked and having conviction and knowledge are very important, but most of all, a king needs to be levelheaded. In order to call the important shots that impact an entire nation, a king needs a thorough thought process to reach the proper decision.
After being on the island for a long time, the boys start to become uncivilized too. After Roger already becomes a criminal by aiding in the murder of a boy, Simon, he murders Piggy on his own. Roger understood that he was committing murder, so he should be fully responsible for his actions. What Roger did is unacceptable, he murdered someone by choice. Because even though “We are born with evil in us...
Even though Simon warns them about the evil inside them, their actions still reflect their inherently bad human nature. As the time on the island goes by, the boys kill Simon and Piggy, along with a mother pig, and a well-timed rescue is all that prevents Ralph’s death. Even if people can act good, there is still greed, selfishness, and evil within everyone. It is only through the influence of civil society that the worst of human nature is kept in
Also, in order to concentrate power and benefits to himself,
A great example of this would be Adolf Hitler and Joseph Stalin who were both political leaders of their countries, Germany and Russia and wanted greatness for their countries and arguably for themselves as well. Both countries did become recognisable super powers. However, it did not last long as the negative effects on the citizens within unfortunately outweighed the the shortlived greatness of both countries. These dictators had similar idealistics and the punishment was heavy for those who opposed their opinions or ideas, it sometimes ended in death or exilement to concentration camps. Each dictator had a strong belief that their vision for their country was the best one.
