This lets them demonstrate how the government has control to destroy society by killing innocent citizens. From the above, we can see how the government can control a population by stoning people to death, putting restraints on citizens, and even using bombs just out of cruelty. It is essential to recognize that dystopias are important to understanding for our society and government because it goes to show that if we don’t take action or speak out to our government, the government can take us over. On a final note, we can relate these stories to real life because some of these situations, like the nuclear bombing, have actually occurred in our
And also in the book “63 Documents the government Doesn’t Want you to read” has some of the documents that have also been blanked out in certain parts of it, maybe also this book is considered as threat to the national security like “Operationq1. This is a type of censorship, and proof of how we do not actually have freedom of speech. One of the “classified” documents that was leaked was an assassination plan. The document was a plan to overthrow the Guatemalan government. How is that our government is able to kill people or take over another country when we are not in a declared war?
When Malcolm X left the Nation of Islam Elijah Muhammad became worried about losing followers. In his book about Malcolm X Tom Robinson discusses his power struggle. “Malcolm x was entangled in an intricate web of conspiracy involving the Nation of Islam, New York City police and the FBI.” (Greenspan, Jesse pg 3). Malcolm X was trapped in a situation where groups of people, including our government, they were working together against him. Elijah Muhammad had help in defeating Malcolm
I apologize for their actions and they will be dealt with.” Instead, he and the rest of his administration decided to cover- up and deny having any relationship with the break-in at Watergate. “The initial reaction of the White House and Creep to the Watergate break-in, from Nixon to John Mitchell down through the organizational structure, launched the administration on a course to commit additional crimes to hide CREEP’s involvement.”

They mention the agency’s new wiretapping program and the constant suspicion that the agency is hiding something. The “FBI Encyclopedia” and “NSA wiretapping program” explains the suspicion on the NSA since World War II to the present day twenty- first century, while “Rep. Ellison Statement on Allegations of NSA Spying on Muslim-Americans” talks about how the NSA spies on Muslim-Americans when there was no wrong doing. This article uses the position of other nations/ races and how they are affected through these programs. However, all three articles come to a conclusion to make points about the National Security Agency being sneaky with something and their actions going beyond their
As time elapsed from September 11, 2001, the public began to break ideas about who was to blame for the attacks on September 11. A vast majority believed that the 9/11 attacks were solely to blame from the Islamist radical group, Al-Qaeda, a terrorist regime that sought to rebel against western civilization norms and enact their hate among the United States. The other idea, which is highly noted as a conspiracy theory, was that government knew the terrorist attacks were likely to happen and the only reason the government took a back seat was to conduct a reason to mobilize troops into the war-riddled Middle East. Whether the public believed either or, a paranoia was created, later to be recognized as Post-9/11 Paranoia. This paranoia would harbor certain ideals in American brains, creating a specific view and caution for certain areas, actions and personnel.
In recent news, the US Senate released its findings detailing the methods used by the CIA to interrogate prisoners of war (and alleged terrorists) captured during the Bush Administration’s War on Terror. This scathing 6700 page report, dubbed the Torture Report, details the techniques used; techniques that include sleep and light deprivation, waterboarding, sexual assault, and something called “rectal feeding”( Bioethics Program, 2014). This is of personal concern to me, as I was a medic in the Army, trained to uphold the Geneva Convention and save lives on either side of the conflict; plus the ordeal has become a blight on the APA-the American Psychological Association (who was named specifically), and Division Nineteen (Military Psychology);
When politicians do something unpleasant, they get rid of it consequence, like what happened to president Nixon for his participation in the Watergate break in. The Watergate break in is when five men were caught looking for documents that might harm the candidacy of the Democratic nominee, George McGovern. Nixon stooped the FBI investigation, and claimed that its executive privilege, also he said that would risk the national security. People argue that if the political system advantage or disadvantage the abuse of power. Looking at the Watergate break in, we can tell that the American political system advantage abuse of power.
Torture is a topic that has come under intense scrutiny and debate regarding whether there are any circumstances in which it should be employed, and if its is absolute legal ban should not be protected and respected. Recently, terrorism has brought to the public 's eye the violent tactics used by terrorist, against humanity. The September 11 terrorist attacks, in the New York, Pennsylvania and Washington, lead to the passing of the "Patriot Act" when George Bush signed a secret finding empowering CIA to "Capture, Kill, or Interrogate Al-Queda Leaders"( Bush, 2001:). The most predicted and widely publicized

The CIA 's potential involvement was frequently mentioned during the 1960s and 1970s when the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) was involved in plots to assassinate foreign leaders, particularly Fidel Castro. According to author James Douglass, Kennedy was assassinated because he was turning away from the Cold War and seeking a negotiated peace with the Soviet Union. Accusations and confessions of and by alleged conspirators, as well as official government reports citing the CIA as uncooperative in investigations, have at times renewed interest in these conspiracy theories. The CIA is the first main group that was investigated by the Warren Commission .There are two main people in the CIA that we think to have something to do with it. William K. Harvey was a main suspect because he was a CIA clandestine services operative who help arrange assassination plots and was also seen with Oswald(JFK assassination co-conspirators).
History of the Debate After what happened on September 11 in 2001, conspiracists started to spread the word about what is seen today as the mythology of the 9/11 conspiracy. 2,977 innocent people were killed in an elaborate plot by the CIA and FBI in order to suppress civil liberties and benefit their allies in the oil and gas industry. The scheme by the Bush administration was successful in gaining the popular agreement of the American people to be in accordance with the otherwise unsupportable wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. There is no exact or perfect timeline about the progression of belief in the theory of a planned event. But in the early years of the decade, at least, it was relegated to the far reaches of the American political spectrum,
After a while waiting for anyone claiming responsibility for this horrific act it was discovered that an Islamic extremist group Al-Qaeda was responsible for this. Al-Qaeda is located in Saudi Arabia and several other Arab nations. What has the United States of America done to punish the people responsible for 9/11? After it was found that Al-Qaeda was responsible for 9/11 the United States went to war to try to find Al-Qaeda to punish them for what they had done to us. In 2011 after multiple failed attempts to kill the leader of Al-Qaeda US special forces kill Osama Bin Laden.
