The first chapter in How to Read Literature Like a Professor: a Lively and Entertaining Guide to Reading Between the Line by Thomas Foster, that I was able to draw a parallel with was “Every Trip is a Quest”. Within this chapter the author explains how the standard creator may loosely base their writing around the design of a quest. As a result, the author starts with a character who orders another to journey somewhere, to retrieve something, and then the character comes to a revelation about their life in the greater scheme. Foster stresses the importance in the knowledge that these minuscule errands the characters always seem to detect a growth in self- knowledge. Additionally, Foster introduces the concept of a standard pattern, he describes
Schedule and organization are marvellous skills to have; when put into portion. It is when one becomes too concerned with maintaining a strict and tidy schedule that it gets out of hand. Ray Bradbury writes about one house that remains standing after an incredibly tragic nuclear explosion leaves the entire population to dust; including the home’s inhabitants in There Will Come Soft Rains. Although there is no one present to utilize what the home is doing, the house continues to stick to its strict cleaning, cooking, and tidying-of-the-house routine. In George Saunders’ Victory Lap one becomes acquainted with an overly schedules and micromanaged mother and her paranoid son, Kyle.

I can remember starting to use this in middle school, when I started writing assignments. I like clear concrete directions, I like to know what's expected of my work and myself. I like having that type of structure when I plan shopping trips, appointments, chores, and now school. I try to have as much structure as I can, especially with being a wife and mother.
Occupational Timeline Analysis Occupational History Throughout my life, the arts as an occupation have shaped my decisions. My first experience with art was when I began learning to draw as a toddler. Both my mother and grandmother helped me explore it by providing me with crayons and markers. At first, my grandmother would primarily guide me, but I had more skill with my left hand (like my southpaw mother).
Sitting here looking back on my family we aren't the ordinary family. On an ordinary day my family rarely communicates.in my home of 4 including myself everyone holds a busy schedule.it seems as though my family of 4 never has the time nor energy to endorse family closeness.although my family would love to have an unbreakable bond we find that hard to accomplish. In Frank Buni's newspaper column from the New York Times, ” The myth of Quality Time” Frank in sighted his involvement and memories that are shared with his family every summer Frank also mentions in stanza 10 that:” He used to think that shorter would be better” meaning the shorter the time he would have to stay with his family would be better my family and I could relate 100 percent
On the Topic of Missions For Christians, the topic of Missionary work is always something that is met with mixed opinions. Some believe that we have fulfilled our duties of bringing people to Christ, some believe that you can only reached lost people by going to other countries, and some believe that there is a larger calling in our own neighborhoods. I think that as long as there is still one person in this world who does not know the Lord as their true Savior, then we still have mission work to do. I do not believe that it is necessary for all believers to travel to other countries to help bring the lost to God. As Christ’s followers we have to bring as many people to Him as possible.
Being on time shows respect. The fact that you showed up to work late is disrespectful and unbecoming. Punctuality at work is important. The last time we talked you made me a promise that this behavior would stop. Considering your place showing up late to work must stop.
