A Labor union is defined as an institution of representatives, who main focus is for the advancement of social , economical and political interests of the union members it represents (Voos, 1983). One of the benefits having union membership from an employees perspective would be the maintenance or the increase wages received from negotiations held by an organized union (Voos, 1983). The interests of an employee is represented to management team of an employer, by the union (Bernardin & Russell, 2013).
