The Lakota tribe are indigenous to the Great Plains of North America. What interests me the most about them is there artwork. Women of the Lakota tribe are best known for their quill and beadwork. Men from the Lakota tribe are known for their paintings. These types of artwork are only few to the many in the whole native american Indian culture.

Native american art is common within many tribes. Art portrays native americans and their culture and has expressed their way of life for years and years. Generally Native American art is separated into gender specific topics. Women were known for crafting jewelry, quilts, and many other things.
