Arachne was an extremely talented weaver, since she was so talented Athena, the goddess of wisdom, war and the arts, nurtured her talent and became her teacher. Arachne soon became influenced by her fame and claims that her tapestries are all her skill, artistry and rigorous work and that Athena had no part in it. Similar to McCandless, Knievel was being reckless, which had affected others around him. McCandless had left his family to travel to Alaska and live in the wild in search of enlightenment. After his death, word about his journey spread around the country. Many viewed McCandless to be egotistical due to the fact that he left his entire life to pursue his personal desires, and he didn’t think about how others would feel after he left, or if he did, he didn’t care. McCandless was also seen as ignorant.
Shortly after, he too was required to undergo drug testing to settle suspicions. The use of drugs at this time wasn’t just happening in baseball, but all across different athletic platforms. Since several athletes in the past years were tested to have used PED’s (performance enhancing drugs) at the time of competition, the International Olympics Committee took a fighting stance against the use of drugs in sport stating: “The use of doping agents in sport is both unhealthy and contrary to the ethics of sport” as their central “reason” to why PEDs are banned from the Olympics. Given the prestige that the Olympics holds over all other sports, leagues from different sports all over started to follow suit. However, the statements to ban the use of these drugs on the account that they are unhealthy to the athlete and “contrary” to the ethics of sport is

To simplify, the trait of a coward is shown because Paris was hiding behind the army for protection instead of facing the man he feared. Reflecting back To sum it up, the fact that Lance didn't mind what the PEDS could do to him or his teammates, and that Paris stole the queen from a superior Greek army, shows ignorance in both of them. Lance Armstrong’s tactics of threats and intimidation proves he is a bully. Paris was never able to confront a warrior in the Greek army, which shows he's a
The Ithacan king is intelligent, loyal to his wife, and has a intimate relationship with the gods. In our modern society, just recently it has not been expected of to be religious. On the other hand, being clever, cunning, and intelligent, is still something that is well respected. Equally as respected as being a loyal spouse. However, The Odyssey also taught that a hero is never perfect.

Arcite and Palamon are the main characters in “The Knight’s Tale” and they both play very important parts in the story. These two men have similar traits but different personalities and methods for accomplishing tasks. Arcite and Palamon are cousins, who are so close, that they consider themselves, and even swear an oath stating that they are brothers. Their brotherly pact, as strong as it may seem, is still helpless against the powers of love.
