How to Learn A Foreign Language “If you talk to a man in a language he understands, that goes to his head, if you talk to him in his language that goes to his heart” - Nelson Mandela (n.d.). Learning a foreign language is important because it can help people to know rich information about cultures and history. Another/ study of the number of spoken languages in the world (“How many spoken languages are there in the world? ” n.d), there are 6,500 spoken languages in the world. According to Ethnologue (2014), in “ Most Widely Spoken Languages in the World ”, the most spoken languages in the world are Chinese, Spanish, English, Hindi, Arabic, Portuguese and Russian. In order to learn a new language people should follow these three steps, which are connecting and talking with a native speaker, carrying a dictionary, and developing the language. …show more content…

When a people connect with a native speaker they can practice the language and learn so much from the native speaker. Also, they can save time and learn the language faster. Also, a person can acquire the correct accent. Another study of learning a foreign language quickly (“ How to Learn a New Language Fast,” n.d), if a people cannot find a native speaker, they can go to websites like Skype or Hellotalk to make conversations with native speakers live, that will help people to know how to speak and listen to the language very well.
