Whether someone is a large business owner, or a small business entrepreneur, there are key factors that every business owner looks for regarding the environment of which they operate in. Some of which include a large consumer base, an educated staff, and potential for growth. Although many Americans are hesitant to do business south of the United States border, expanding, or relocating one’s business to Latin America has many economic advantages. These advantages include an educated workforce, a growing consumer base, common languages throughout the region, and continent-wide economic growth. Having an educated workforce is crucial for business development of both large and small companies. Regardless of occupation, educated employees tend to be more productive, create larger profits, and build more growth than lesser educated individuals (“Benefits Of A Well-Educated Workforce | CAEDC.”). A more educated population also increases competition …show more content…
Latin America has experienced a recession in recent years, but forecasters expect to see positive growth in 2017 and 2018 according to The World Bank. For Example, 9 out of the 12 South Americans countries are projected to see GDP growth in 2017, and 10 out of the 12 in 2018. Furthermore, all Central American countries are expected to see GDP growth along with all of the Caribbean Countries. For business in this region, this means a strengthening of infrastructure, more government funding, larger export numbers, and an overall healthier economy. This will stimulate the economy and encourage more consumer spending, providing businesses within the region with a more solid platform to operate in. The United States is also expected to see GDP growth of 2.3 percent in 2017 and 2.5 percent in 2018. Since the U.S. is Latin America's largest commercial partner (Winters). Was the United States Justified in Going to War With Mexico? Texas declared itself an Independent Nation in 1836. In 1845 the United States annexed Texas. There was a war between the U.S and Mexico in 1846-1848, Texas and Mexico got into a disagreement over which border would be Texas’s, the U.S wanted the Rio Grande and Mexico wanted the Nueces River.
Question 1: The Leadership of Latin America 's Revolution was different from the Leadership of Mexico 's Revolution, but in some ways they were akin. During the Leadership of Latin America 's Revolution, the peninsulares were at the top of the society. On the other hand, during the Leadership of Mexico 's Revolution Indians and mestizo were at the top. Each leadership had a strong ruler working towards independence.
Along with Brazil, Mexico has demonstrated a similar phenomenon, amongst the Nahuatl-speaking locals. It is another Virgin Mary figure which was discovered on a sacred Aztec site. The statue is commonly referred to as Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe (Our Lady of Guadalupe, pictured below), however the indigenous people call her Tonantzin, after an indigenous goddess of the earth. Asides from religious figurines, there are many buildings in Latin America which are known to be influenced by the colonisation which are religious sites, most often churches. The increase in the number of churches in Latin America is another sign that religion took a large part in changing Latin American society and lifestyle.
One of the toughest adjustments, having been born to Mexican parents, is migrating to an unknown country where traditions and languages differ from one 's own. Though many pursue an education and strive for a better life, the purpose behind an immigrant, like myself, differs from the typical American. Immigrants strive for a life that was once impossible, going to school is not only to attain an education, but to better prove that we can also become successful regardless of our traditions and skin color. I lived in a country for over fifteen years, fearing deportation, not only losing a home, but potentially saying goodbye to a bright future. Although many feel empathy for Mexican-Americans, it is undeniably difficult to truly comprehend the immense trauma children and even adults undergo upon experiencing racism and prejudice.
Throughout history, the United States has had a complex relationship with Latin America. The nature of U.S. engagement in Latin America during the Cold War was distinct from earlier periods, as it was primarily motivated by the imperative to limit Soviet influence and curtail the propagation of communism. While previous interventions were often motivated by economic and political interests, the Cold War era saw the U.S. adopt a more strategic approach to its foreign policy in the region. The U.S.’s involvement in Latin America during the Cold War differed from that of previous eras because it needed to contain the Soviet Union and prevent the spread of communism.
Being Hispanic has taught me a whole world of things. It has taught me that the world is not what you expect it to be. Going to a public school and being th minority is completely different than going to a see my cousins where every thing is different. The way we talk, the food we eat. Its all different.
This "inward-looking development" (Bértola and Ocampo, 2003), has been scrutinized, explicitly concerning its ability to alleviate Latin America 's economic inequality. This is due to its nurturing of corruption and inefficiency through increased government regulation, and its widening of the gap between rural and urban classes, through low food prices and unbalanced public investment in the urban areas, which made it hard for the rural population to profit (Cupples, 2013). ISI failed to induce employment as cities were unable to tackle high levels of rural-urban migration, which strengthened multinational corporations as a result of cheap labor. This merely worsened economic disparities, as the concentration of income became increasingly concentrated in lesser hands (Armendáriz and Larraín B, 2017). In larger nations, namely Brazil, ISI was successful in achieving economic growth, meanwhile, in smaller nations, such as Bolivia and Ecuador, ISI was unsuccessful in encouraging the production of goods beyond basic goods (Lepeley et al., 1998).
Have I forgotten who I am? For much of my life, the answer was yes. I am Mexican American; however, for a while, I forgot the Mexican part came first… actually, I forgot it was there at all. Growing up I never took an interest in learning about my culture, nor did I willingly take part in any events relating to it; however, I do not completely blame this on myself. My mother played a significant role in this.
The Incas were a great empire that existed in the Andean mountains from 1400-1533. They had a great capital city of Cuzco, and their extensive empire was eventually brought to an end by Spanish invasion. Though their empire was spread out across many miles, they were connected through their religion. This paper will cover many aspects of Inca religion. The Incas were a polytheistic culture that brought together the religions of conquered people into one unified practice.

California which is one of the fifty states of American might have been stolen from Mexico. On April 25th 1846 after the annexation of Texas American soldiers went to the borders by Texas and went to guard it. Mexico had a different perspective however and saw that the United States were crossing their borders and attacked them. This caused a lot of conflicts which lead to the Mexican American War. I believe that America was not justified with going to war with Mexico because of how Mexico did not accept the annexation of Texas, Mexico defending their land and US invading it, the last reasons is what Mexico did not accept slavery but Americans ignored this rule.

Although a degree is not essential for those looking to work in the more hands on fields of work, such being a plumber or an electrician, degree holders can look to not only make more, but to also fulfill more brain satisfying tasks in more intellectual fields of work. Even with that in consideration, a degree can help those that work in fields where holding a degree is not commonplace. “Construction workers, police officers, retail salespeople and secretaries, among others, make significantly more with a degree than without one.” (Leonhardt)
Peru is a country in South America and considered as upper middle income by the World Bank. Peru remained in development between 2005 and 2014, with an average growth rate of 6.1% during a low inflation period, explained from its prudent macroeconomics policies (The World Bank, "Peru", 2015). When a country has a low inflation rate, it means that the population are in a good standing of living and able to buy goods and services which runs the economy. Also during low inflation people appeal to borrow more money since interest rates are low during these periods (The World Bank, "Peru", 2015).
