In 2015, the movie depicting Philippine military commander General Antonio Luna generated considerable attention from both critics and fanatics. The movie Heneral Luna, which was directed by Jerrold Tarog, portrayed a historical drama about a military commander's fight for independence. The struggle for independence became one because of the key leaders and characters that had major roles in attaining liberty for the Philippines.
This essay identifies the characters of General Emilio Aguinaldo (the first president of the Republic of the Philippines in the movie), General Tomas Mascardo and General Antonio Luna as those who epitomizes the three levels of leadership: strategic, operational and tactical.

In these meetings, he led with inquiry as he listened to two opposing sides on how to deal with US entry and presence in the country.
