I would like to be in the leadership program because I enjoy helping and interacting with my peers at school. I would like to be involve all students at our school. All cliques must be considered, nobody should be discluded. In leadership we are faced with assignments and tasks that we have to overcome by putting our heads together and working as a team. Leadership is a place where you aren’t judged and are allowed to let your creative thinking flow.
I feel my teachers would best describe me with the characteristics hard worker, positive attitude, and adaptable and flexible, I can agree. I know how to work hard because I am a volleyball player, volleyball is a constant challenge on who is going to give up first, or fight the hardest, in school

When planning an event people may have different ideas that you yourself may not agree with, but sometimes for the sake of the event you have to just agree, even if truly down you do not really agree. In the leadership program this year, as seventh graders, we were in charge of the eighth grade winter semi-formal, it forced our class to work together and be flexible to make the night run as smoothly as possible, which is the goal of every dance. In the end being flexible is a great characteristic to have.
In the leadership class I would contribute a good attitude, the ability to want to help others in any possible way, also I would bring reliability. I will be a reliable student who will be able to get things done no matter the circumstances. I am the kind of person who wants to help with everything, that is just the way I am.
Currently I am involved in volleyball. In volleyball we learn how to work together as a team, play smart, and that is what I would bring with me to the ASB team. Volleyball is a lot like the ASB class, the only difference is that instead of a task you are given a ball which you have to try and do something with, change it and make it better. As a volleyball player we are constantly having to work together to reach a goal. Thank you for taking the time to read my essay, have a good rest of your and remember to show P.R.I.D.E. in all that you
Next, I am a diligent student. I try my hardest to accomplish every task without failure. I am that kind of person that has to work hard for what I desire and deserve. I also consider myself a responsible individual because I always own up to my wrongs. Lastly, I am a strong leader and not a follower, I am the type that strives for originality.
Link Crew I would like to be a Link Leader because I remember how scared I was as a freshman coming to the high school. Having two link leaders made me feel less scared. I was glad there was someone I could ask my questions to. I enjoy working with people and helping others, and I hope that I can help the upcoming freshmen with the questions they have and do fun things for them because I know what it meant to me.
Through the National Student Leadership Conference, I will be marching out of my comfort zone and learning qualities that will aid me in becoming a better leader. In my school there are numerous leadership opportunities, from being class president, to being a house captain, to planning a school wide event.
Since I first came to college I’ve had the opportunity to discover myself and who I am as a person, and here is what I can tell you. I’m a modest consistently hard working individual who continues to set goals for herself. I take responsible for my actions when things go wrong rather than look for others to blame. I am a person who is committed to constructing something larger for the benefit of others rather than personal gain. I am a person who believes in teamwork and open communication.
I was taught to work hard and never give up. Leadership is also a very important pillar in the National Honor Society. A leader is a person who guides others with their actions or words and influences others in a positive way. I feel that I am a leader in many ways. I participate in many different
During my high school career I was blessed to find the Future Farmers of America, also known as the FFA,. The FFA is an organization that stands over half a million members strong. The FFA has prepared me for my future significantly more than any other group or organization I have been involved in. The mission of this program is, “FFA makes a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education.” I believe it has done just that for me; this organization has made a profound impact on my life.
Acquiring leadership skills along with a strong character and the sense to serve others is vital. A leader should be resourceful, dependable, selfless, and a good problem solver. I have led in many ways- inside and outside of school. Last year as a tenth grader, I was class secretary for Class Council.
As a future teacher, I will always have good intentions for my students. I will recognize their abilities and encourage growth while having a positive approach. I will teach in a variety of ways that is beneficial to my students. If they are having difficulties learning the material, I will change my teaching strategies until progress is achieved. I will include every student; the quiet will be heard, the misunderstood will be redirected and the gifted will be rewarded.
In addition to looking prepared and acting prepared a drum major must have self respect in regards to the words that they say. Too often in modern society are words thrown like filth at other people around them. At all times a drum major should be cautious of what they say because their words can be a direct reflection on the integrity of the band. Therefore I feel that I would be the perfect candidate for drum major because I am: a leader, a reliable student, and I have high regard for myself and others.
I’m a hard-working and motivated person, because I believe that with enough practice anyone can be good at anything. As someone who is born in a collective culture, I’m harmonious and I actively seek to promote harmony and peace in groups and individuals. Because of my harmonious nature, I try to be friendly and kind to people, especially to those that feel left out. Therefore, I’m able to get along well with people while working in groups. In addition, I’m self-critical, therefore, I’m good at knowing my weaknesses and what I’m lacking.
Being a part of the National Honor Society would be a privilege. I have been chosen as a candidate due to my academic excellence, but I understand it takes more than just a good GPA. I believe my abilities to be a leader, serve others, and express good character meet the standards set by NHS. The service opportunities that I will have as a part of NHS is what I look forward to the most.
1. My philosophy of leadership is about collaboration and teamwork. Respecting and treating everyone the same, is key to supporting a good team atmosphere. I believe when a leader puts effort and care into assisting others, then their peers and followers will naturally want to support them. It is also important for a leader to recognize, that advocacy must never become so important that the critical elements of leadership are neglected (e.g. policy enforcement, command support, etc...).
Furthermore, I am capable to work in a team in an all-inclusive way. I am motivated and visionary, I am always seeking for the best and how to improve. I am a very organized person, optimistic and passionate about what I do. I also have the ability to think critically, the ability to resolve conflict, and the ability to take the initiative and complete task in a reasonable amount of time. Also, I am bilingual, Spanish and English speaking, which will allow me to communicate with the students that come from Spanish speaking countries.
I apply to the Emerging Leaders Institute with three purposes. First of all, I want to obtain strategies in order to become an inspiration for my future “team members,” instead of being dominant or controlling. Secondly, I am determined to prove to everybody that I can become an entrepreneur. I want to utilize what I obtain from this program and build a career as a businesswoman with sophisticated skills beside leadership, such as high energy level, optimism and creativity.
Humans learn from everything happens in the life; learn from the negative side and get more benefits from it by applying their consideration in solving the problems. We learn daily not only for getting the certificate of graduation but also for being future leaders whom can help their society. The concept of leadership similar between people in self-confidence, encouragement, and facing challenges but it differs in the use of it. I want to become a leader to influence, motivate, and inspire all people to develop our society toward coating our necessities by our motivating plans. I used to acting like a vender at young age; I liked to purchase and offer anything even toys in my home with my sister.
