I was able to see what right looked like and witness what it took to be successful very early in my career. I would like to leave the same impact on my Soldiers that SFC Mayo did on his. I want my Soldiers to remember me as an NCO that cared for his Soldiers the way SF Mayo did all while being able to accomplish any task thrown my way. I want to be the leader that my Soldiers are talking about years after I lead them. I think that it is clear that you left an impact on a Soldier’s life if they remember you.

Life Transition I learned the importance of a good education at a very young age. Keeping my education as a priority in my life journey has provided some solace through the most challenging time of my life. My childhood began with a firm educational foundation; my father played a major role in shaping my study habits, my interest in music, and my desire to always do my best academically. When I was very young my father talked about me going to college and how important knowledge was. I learned that there are no shortcuts to getting a great education or becoming a talented musician.
The key to supporting children’s and young people’s learning is motivation, even if this is one to one with a pupil, in a small group or as a whole class, whether you are supporting the teacher or taking the class. Approaches to motivation include behavioural, cognitive, physiological and social. Therefore, when setting goals for pupils to achieve it is a crucial element. A pupil’s behaviour and the persistence and strength of their behaviour is all affected by motivation.

The United States Army and West Point are dedicated to the respect of others and to respecting diversity. Each member of the Armed Forces is unique and his or her identity should be respected. Growing up as a military child, I have been exposed to all sorts of people and cultures that are different from my own. Furthermore, many of my classmates, teammates, and friends have come from different backgrounds and I have learned to work successfully with all people. From my experiences growing up around many different cultures of people and from working with them, I believe that I will be successful in working with any person at West Point and in the U.S. Army.
Reggie McNeal shares his example of a missional (organic) church in his book “The Missional Renaissance”. McNeal used Renaissance, which simply mean recovery or revival, so the author states that the missional renaissance is everywhere and churches are doing some “unchurchy” things. In Texas a church decided to build a more efficient community instead of building a better church. The pastor focus or “vision: was on launching new church initiatives. A church in Ohio passed up the opportunity purchase land that would house a multisite congregation to invest the money into community projects.
In the midst of developing our nation 's future Soldiers I have found my true passion with in the army. Being a Drill Sergeant I 'm am constantly asked questions about anything and everything, but those I most enjoy are related to staying healthy and overcoming an injury. Though now I can only refer them to the athletic trainers I follow their progress with a studious eye. When Soldiers return from the Physical Therapist I am even more interested. The ability to work with these Soldiers from injury and get them back into the training inspired me to return to school and work on an exorcise science degree, but this is only where my journey to become an Army Officer began.
By learning about myself, I was able to discover my strengths in school and as a person. I developed communication skills and study tactics that I will continue to strengthen.
